Valid Media Credentials, Prove to the park that you have good reporting skills and that you will be able to properly distribute your stories.

It's not something (even as a hobby) to be taken lightly. I would only suggest following through with this if you are very serious about reporting. Looking for a free ticket and being the first to ride is (IMO) just wrong.

If you are 100% serious, contact some smaller parks and work with them first, then work your way up.

Good Luck

^ Agreed with all of that.

It's not just something you can email a park and say "I want to go to Media Day" and you get in. For the most part you have to have a proven track record of park coverage and readership.

Robb and Elissa have a very good working relationship with the parks starting with their videos, then their events and now their trips. They traveled for years to various parks and had no "perks" or "ERT" or anything like that. It's only through a hell of a lot of work that they've made this happen.

Plus, Media Days really aren't that exciting IMO.

Media Events are invite-only. Theme Park Review and other websites get invites to cover events in order to help publicize the parks. That's basically it...

Not much reason to keep this thread going now that that has been addressed.
