Mechanic Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I'm just wondering if anyone else is having this problem? It seems to have started yesterday. I'm not receiving emails notifying me that threads have received a post since my last visit, when I check on the forums and they have, in fact, recieved replies. Maybe I accidentally clicked something and turned them off? Any help would be appreciated.
Hhappy Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Have you tried to unsubscribe and then subscribe again?
Mechanic Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 Not yet. That may be worth a try though. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hhappy Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 You're welcome. Â Please let me know if that fixes it.
Godwyn Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Same thing is happening to me. I just subscribed to this thread to see if I'll get an e-mail. Â EDIT-- Duh, it's not going to send an e-mail, because I was the one that posted last.
Mechanic Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 It seems to be working again, at least for some threads. Oddly enough, the thread that I unsubscribed, and then resubscribed, hasn't notified me of the new posts it has received. I'm guessing it will work itself out.
robbalvey Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Hanno made a fix. Let me know if it's still NOT working for some people.
Mechanic Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 It's still hit and miss for me. I get some notifications, but not others. I'm sure it will be sorted out soon enough. I can manually check my favorite threads in the meantime.
PennStater Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I had this problem as well. Took me a couple days to realize I hadn't gotten any notification emails... so I had some catching up to do! At this point, they do appear to be working again, as I received a few today. Â Thanks!
Mechanic Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 I'm once again not receiving thread reply notices. I'm guessing it has to do with the server change. Will the subscriptions be re-added, or should I add them manually?
cfc Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I haven't been getting any notifications since the changeover, either.
Mechanic Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 I just unsubscribed and resubscribed to this particular thread. I'll check to see if I get any notifications. I haven't received notifcations for any of my other subscribed threads since the server change.
cfc Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 I just received my first topic-reply notifications since the server changeover.
robbalvey Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 There was a change made. Hopefully that fixes the issue.
Mechanic Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011 Still no notifications for me yet. I'll be patient and I'm sure it will get solved. Thanks for checking into it.
Hhappy Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 it's not ending up in your junk-mail folder? (just wondering)
Mechanic Posted November 12, 2011 Author Posted November 12, 2011 No, I'm not getting anything in junk mail, or regular mail.
robbalvey Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 This is really weird. The notifications now seem to be working for everyone who said they were having problems. Email me what your email address is and I'll see what I can do.
Godwyn Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I haven't been getting any email notifications either. I haven't even been getting regular newsletter emails from you at all. I've checked my spam folder and there is nothing in there. I even unsubscribed to the Santa Claw thread and resubscribed. Still nothing, and there have been about 3 new post since I've done this. Â When I go to my user control panel and look under "Manage Subscriptions" tab, it shows "You are not subscribed to any forums.", but shows a bunch of topics under "Watched topics".
Mechanic Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 My subscriptions are working again! Thank you.
robbalvey Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 This is very odd as we haven't done anything different about this. When did they start working?
Mechanic Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 Yesterday. I didn't change anything either. Regardless of why they're working, I'm just glad they are.
