coasterdude2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 I'm about to take a trip and we already have Darien Lake and Seabreeze planned to visit in about 2 weeks, I was wondering how good of a ride Silver Comet is and if its worth a visit while in the area and any other notable attractions?
ParkTrips Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 I don't remember the exact price and time (and it may have changed in the 5+ years since I visited), but Martin's was about $10 after 5PM. Silver Comet alone is worth $10, and you don't need more than a couple of hours for the park. Its up near Niagara Falls if you're into natural wonders and crap
robbalvey Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Silver Comet has always been a solid B+ ride. Really fun, and it gets better as the day goes on...
DarienLaker Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 The admission price is $24.95 as for ride suggestion besides Silver Comet, I suggest riding Mind Warp (new for 2011!), Mega Disk'O, Flight, Devil's Hole, and Crazy Mouse.
DougMJr Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Silver Comet is defiantly worth the trip. It's better than Predator at Darien lake, and a good ride all around. Strong lateral forces. It smooth, but has a couple rough spots at the end. Mind Warp is fun, but be warned it is intense and causes a lot of whiplash. So much in fact that the ride-op gives instructions on how to brace yourself. If you heave neck problems this one is not for you. Other highlighs include flight, a starflyer type ride, a very wet logflume, a Gravitron, and the Wild West show. Also, reduced admission after 5PM is just $12.95 Coolers are allowed, so if you want to save money pack a picnic.
beatle11 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Definitely visit MFI after 5. I can't see spending more than 2 or 3 hours there. Just went this past Saturday evening and lines were mostly non existent.
