sportscapper Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I figured I would start a thread for people to ask about specific coaster experiences. If there is a coaster that you have not ridden, that you are really interested in the experience, then ask it here. Most of us know about the big boy rides. What about coasters that look like a great ride, but people don't really talk about. I will start with this ride... Sky Rocket - Kennywood This looks like it would be a blast. For the people that have ridden it, what did you think?
Gmaster562 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Interesting idea! I always wondered what millennium force was like! Theres that debate about how some people say it has loads of G's and airtime, while others say the complete opposite! Which one is it?
PKI Jizzman Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Since I've been on Millennium Force many times over the past years I can say no, it doesn't have much airtime. It's big, blue, and super fast. If you like floater airtime and speed then you will love Mil.F! Also one of the best first drops ever.
Gmaster562 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 ^ Thanks, also, whats an intamin drop tower like? I keep hearing how much better it is than an S&S drop tower, like supreme scream.

Sky Rocket is a pretty good ride. I like the fact that you don't stop before you launch, you just take off when the train hits the LIMS. I was really surprised with the airtime. The top hat has a big pop of air even with the brake on top and some nice floater air in the inversions. The only let down is the somewhat weak ending after the mid-course. The zig-zag track does nothing for the ride. ^ Thanks, also, whats an intamin drop tower like? I keep hearing how much better it is than an S&S drop tower, like supreme scream. The Intamin drop towers feel more like a freefall than the S&S turbo drops, which seem too controlled to me even though I enjoy them. The Intamins also feel a bit more intense, especially the gyro drops.
