Ace Of Spades Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Was chatting with Coaster Creator 9 earlier and he found Frontier's (RCT3 development team's) Twitter, which claims, "We do have a rollercoaster game in the works, but it won’t use the RCT name." A later tweet claims that it will also not be a Thrillville sequel. Link to Frontier's Twitter HERE. Thoughts?
SoCalCoasters Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 If it carries over anything from the atrocity known as Thrillville, I won't be picking up a copy. On the other hand, this could be good! They may finally create a game that could rival RCT. /sarcasm ...yeah no. After Thrillvile.... I don't think Frontier will be able to make a decent theme park game...
CorkscrewFoley Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 No love for Thrillville, eh? Yeah, it had many a flaw, but I'm still playing it, both games after all these years.
Ace Of Spades Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 Likewise, the first Thrillville was the best attempt I've seen at doing a 3D theme park game on the consoles. I only keep my PS2 around to play it. The sequel, however...
SoCalCoasters Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 The original I enjoyed much more, but I just didn't like how many limitations it had....
accelerate Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I did like both Thillvilles, but the scenery was so limited! To bad this isn't an RCT. Hope it is similar.
89James89 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 If I've read the info on this right then I think they plan on making it pretty much like RCT but under a different name due to Chris Sawyer's owning the rights to it or something. I may however have read all the rumours and info completely wrong. Cheers 89James89
