Nrthwnd
^ Hey you're more into it all, than I ever could be. Roller-Rawk on, buddy!
KingOfNynex2003
thanks Nrthwnd, now all I need to do is find the right music for the Coaster, I can't use any of the one's I'd like to use so I have to find a good fit with Royalty Free Music.
Nrthwnd
^ I am sure you'll find and figure something out, music-wise.
KingOfNynex2003
yeah eventually, I want it to appeal to a wide range of audiences, which is why I used that other one on the Atmosfear Time Lapse, but finding a good one for the Coaster will be a bit of a challenge because it is a fast Coaster, so I'll need some music that starts out a bit slow, then builds up once the real fun begins. Nrthwnd
^ Sounds good, time-wise to me, lol.
KingOfNynex2003
finally found a good enough song for it, unfortunately Youtube says the Royalty Free Music I used is a match for Third Party Content, and yet I know for a fact that I got this Royalty Free Music CD so I submitted a dispute, and they said if it turns out I'm using this so called song I've never even heard of by an artist I've never heard of, they'll disable my account permanently, and I can't afford to let that happen, I've got nearly 170 videos on there and most of them have been deleted from my Hard Drive because the Geek Squad at Best Buy pretty much wiped out most of my files from my computer, so if they disabled that account I've lost a ton of videos that I can't get back. Nrthwnd
Damn I hate this happening, when I have said 'yes' to helping out. I had a doctor's appt. today, told him about this marathon, and he told me "uh uh - No chance of that, right now. Need to be more careful." I have had some recent medical problems and am not trying to push the edge, which included not hitting Playland as often as I would like to. Anyway, I have to cancel riding Coaster during the marathon, buddy. But I will do my best to get there and cheer you guys on. By the way, my doc knows of the China Tour in Sept. which is way different than 3 hours on one coaster, lol!
KingOfNynex2003
Sorry to hear that, thanks for letting us know Nrthwnd, looking forward to this one, it's going to be for a couple great Foundations. Kind of weird that your doctor said no to this, but yes to doing the trip.
Nrthwnd
Just found out through Playland and Screamscape, there's a New Ride opening with the park this season! (First pic is from Playland's Twitter feed.) The park itself says nothing of this new ride on it's (current) web page. Totally surprised. But then, by looking at the photo, I know what's being axed for the Balloon Ride to make it's debut... Bye, bye Gladiator. And I liked it, as it was actually one of the most smooth and serene flats at the park! But hardly any one rode it. Even during the PNE fair itself. Life. Playland opens for the season (weekends for now), on Saturday, May 4 - 10am! (Best thread I could find for this information to be posted.) Some of the parts/cars here - and in the background - the covered base (?) is where Gladiator used to sit. Then again - that looks awfully BIG for the base of this ride. Hmmm.... What all of the above ^ turns into.
larrygator
I liked Gladiator and its cheesy theming.
Nrthwnd
^ I did too, Larry. But now that I look closer at that photo, the position of "the thing" under the tarp (which I keep thinking is this new ride's base?), might be in place of where they used to have a big face painting booth set up. So maybe, happily, Gladiator is still where it was last year, lol. And this is actually a new, additional ride to the Playland lineup. Here's hoping. I may get out there for a quick look see, before the park opens in May.
