Led Zeppelin Land [RCT2]

If you saw my first park, Rock N' Roll park, then you would have seen that I said (ok, implied) that i would be breaking the park up. I started work early and have this to show, Led Zeppelin Land. Coasters include Over the Hills and Far Away, Achilles' Last Stand, Kashmir, Rock and Roll, and of course Stairway to Heaven. This is NCS, i strongly dislike custom scenery. So, onto the pictures

Ye, stairway is such a great song. The orange coaster will be Rock and Roll as original as that sounds but it is a led zeppelin song. i may change the colors but i'll probaly have a pic of it in my next update to see what you say. if you've ever sidewinder at hershey park then you'll know what it is

Merry (2-days before) Christmas! It's been a while but 95% done, just finishing details and fixing kinks in Stairway to Heaven, should be able to show Stairway next update if all goes well. Need some thoughts/comments on the park, only way to improve which i definetly can.

I'm liking the park! I always thought Kashmir would fit more with a hyper. But, that is just a matter of opinion. Anyway, great stuff!

^Kashmir had me stumped for a while on how to approach it (i looked at pictures and maps of kashmir) but i eventually decided to approach it like Disney's Thunder Mountain with the terrain. Kashmir is more of a barren desert region but a barren, desert coaster would have been boring so I took some Himalaya influence and combined it with western theming to make this. I intended on entering this to the coaster contest but didnt finish and it still isnt good enough.

 

I expect to be done with the "park" by sunday but posting Stairway to Heaven (a coaster I've been working on for weeks now) may be a bit longer. Expect a fully completed download optimistically New Years Day (Great U2 song by the way).

Love it! But I think the station for Achilles's Last Stand Could be three squares across so it looks more Temple like. Single square stations just don't seem big enough (if you know what I mean).

Update: The "park" is done and this is the last "update" i will be showing pictures of the "park". All that is left is to reveal Stairway to Heaven which I'd say almost half of the time I've been working on this park has been dedicated to this coaster. Expect a download, the official last update of the park, and news on my next park by January 1st. Don't forget to vote which will influence the park I do next.

One could say "saving the best for last" but thats for you to decide. Finally finished and starting next project which I've decided to reveal in my next post with details on it. Not to sound bad or anything but I'm not really getting any comments on anything, even a simple "its bad" is enough to know there is work to be done.

 

Anyway, I've begun work on the next park part of the series of Rock and Roll parks: Beatlemania. It features 5 sections, one for each Beatle, and a middle section with the Fab Four combined. The entrance is designed to look like the cover to the Abbey Road album as guests walk Abbey Road into the park. In each band members section, there are rides dedicated to each's solo career after the breakup. In the Beatles section, it unites the Fab Four and features their greatest hits. Not sure if I should do this but there is one coaster in the Beatles section (Come Together) that is a quad-racer with each band member. Let me know what you guys think and maybe I'll start the thread tomorrow.

I think the Beatles park will be interesting... and I think some designer should make a real one, because it sounds like it could compete with other parks.

 

On another note, while I liked the Led Zeppelin park, the last coaster wasn't great (in my opinion). I realize the effect you wanted, but the coaster didn't work for me. Sorry, and please don't take it personally.

^^A Beatles park could compete with other parks but maybe not on a large scale like Six Flags, Disney, or something like that. About the coaster, I get what you're saying but don't feel bad for saying your opinion. I was going for a large and grand effect on the coaster like the song, didn't come out as well as I'd hoped though.

^Maybe, but as an overall guest transport should I use the train, trams, or monorail

If you can you could be adventurous and make a mini recreation of the London Underground for transport. But if not then I would suggest using the Monorail but hide it in the buildings so it dosn't show.

^that's not a bad idea, i've made underground subway systems before based on New York City so I may try your idea
