PKI Jizzman Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Hey everyone! Coney Island Ohio/Cincy got some attention during the Midwest trip of 2007, so I'm here to shed some more light on this little park. I haven't been in 8-10 years, and they added a few things. -Minus the 'wooden support slide' and put in an AWESOME body/tube White Water West 4 slide complex -Viking Ship from Wild West World -Rock o plane -Pepsi Python changed to.....PYTHON! So they have the staple carnival rides, rock o plane, flying bobs, giant slide, tempest, super round up, viking ship, scrambler, dodgem's, and a few others. The Moser 40ft drop ride was closed. Check out the photo TR thanks to Reon/Jared for getting me a ticket! -Zach PTR sponsered by Reon. He says, Pinafari death starts here! I'm 5'8" and I was cramped. Jared says Coney doesn't have an onride articles policy....to take pics! So let's see, we have a 40ft lift hill. Someone will enjoy this. Oh crap... A death-defying first drop underneath the lift, oh joy. Hold on to your stockings, kids! You will find many spines, back bones, disks, and other sorts of body parts and souls at the bottom of this drop Turning around for more Pinafari greatness. Brake fans rejoyce! Staple helix-o-death And brakes. Let's go again! .....with GARY! (carolinacaniac) My good buddy from the Texas trip (represent!) Mucho excitement for a new credit! But with a Pinafari also comes... Uncertainty... Pain! They took PEPSI OUT of the name! Why shouldn't it be good?!??! I love Cincinnati. Let's recover with a ride on the Rock-o-Planes! The bars did NOT have padding. Ouch.. The level of acidity in the Ohio River didn't burn the place away?! Maybe we're in a radiation zone. Coney Island is Dan friendly! A classic. Sweet, free paddle boats and canoes! New Viking Ship from Wild Wild West World! Summer school is in session! Today's lession is.... SEX EDUCATION!!!! What? This is pointless! This sucks! Why?! Yay food! Closed drop ride....note the open pannel Represent! Hornet-repelant-lubed-slide-o-ass bruises RA RA AH AH AH OH LA Fun fun fun on the no longer Pepsi........Python! It still provides fun for the family Kidtums might be able to get this credit! Bye rides....next up, Sunlight Pool!
triggernel Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Totally looks like one of those great "Oh Shit" coasters. What is that green ride behind The Scrambler, and in front of The Pirate Ship?
PKI Jizzman Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 Totally looks like one of those great "Oh poo-poo" coasters. What is that green ride behind The Scrambler, and in front of The Pirate Ship? It's a Tempest. One of the many spin and puke rides! Sunlight pool pictures coming up..
snowboard83 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Hey isn't Python actually a Preston model? Like the only one in the USA? I know it uses Interpark trains. Also, why is the back row closed off?
PKI Jizzman Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 Huh, I guess you're right! That's what RCDB says.....interesting. The back rows don't have padding, so they were closed off a long time ago. The wicked airtime you get in the row in front of it is probably enough!
PKI Jizzman Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 Time for Sunlight Pool! It's a giant ass pool with a bunch of awesome diving boards, a few slides big and small, and lots of awesomeness! So there's this big 'playground' style slide in the middle. About 25ft tall. So you just climb up the top, and then it THROWS you off into the water! Climb up the freaky ladder to the top... OMG! Or if you aren't afraid of losing a testicle.. Try going backwards on your belly lol! They also have the Cyclone waterslide...scary as hell And the replacement of the old wooden slides, a White Water West complex! The Zoom Flume was built in 1977. It was about time for it to go! It was pretty boring, straight away...turn..straight away turn. It was the Beast of waterslides! LOL! Weee! Single or double tubes! Chose one of four slides! Orange has a nice drop at the end Look out for the chlorine! More weight = more airtime! Awesome addition. The Beach, Kings Island should be jealous. The Pipeline Plunge....yes! It's a terrifying speed slide on a tube! You come flying out of the drop! It's about 60ft tall, has a drop into a straightaway, then OMG DROP! And then it spits you out at blazing speeds Sunlight Pool is not to be missed! No more Pepsi! LOL! Thanks for reading everyone.
Emiroo Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Got any shots of the diving boards? I love going off high (and low) dives. Unfortunately it's getting harder and harder to find parks/pools that have them. All the local places around me actually got rid of them. I guess the insurance required to keep them is getting prohibitively expensive.
