mightbeawannabe Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Don't know if this is the right forum, but here goes: I will be going to Schlitterbahn VV in KCK this coming weekend and I would like to know if Phase II has been completed as stated for 2010. Phase II included a second slide tower in the water park that had Comal Express, Der Bahn, and Loopy Luge slides. I don't know what else was included in that phase. I can't find any pictures of that area and was wondering if anybody knew. Thanks in advance!
mightbeawannabe Posted June 21, 2010 Author Posted June 21, 2010 Well...gee thanks for all the long-winded replies.
larrygator Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 There's no need to act like an A$$ when no one knows the answer to your question.
Jay20016 Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Nothing is showing up on the main site about any of the slides you've mentioned... You can check it here
mightbeawannabe Posted June 22, 2010 Author Posted June 22, 2010 ^^Sorry Larry, I wasn't in a very good mood that night. I had a terrible headache ^That's what I saw but I found another site saying Phase II was supposed to be done by this season. They had a map featuring those slides that weren't in the main site. I figured that the site hadn't been updated for this season as they had the 2009 map on the site. I had a pretty good time but there wasn't enough to constitute a $32 addmission. I should've done the 3:00 til closing deal. It wasn't finished anyway so I asked a stupid question I guess. There were slide section parts near the park so...hopefully by next year
chadster Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 The last I read, they were finalizing plans for Phase II and that was just a month ago...
chadster Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Ok, so here is the scoop. Starting this fall they will start construction on the parking lot side of the river (it's more like a stream, but hey, if river makes them feel better, so be it) with shops and restaurants so as to mimic the riverwalk in San Antonio. That part will be open all year and no admission charge. Eventually the river boats will take people back and forth and what not. Also, as I recently attended their first ever BahnCon, we were sent a survey about future attractions. They ARE going to add items for next season, though I'm guessing just a few things. The survey indicated an upcharge train ride from the parking lot to the water parks, and up charge indoor sky dive, a better master blaster, a new water tower with 3 or 4 slides, enclose torrent river for cooler days (roof can be retracted)or a second rapids river with a conveyor belt that takes you from one river to another should you desire. At the moment, you have to get out of the pool by the master blaster and walk up to torrent river. After that phase is completed they will begin work on the lodge and indoor water park. All in all, they will end up with 8, yes count them, 8 master blaster slides. Their website lists some of their plans but is somewhat outdated vs what we told at the event. At the moment, the park is small, but you can have a really good time, the food prices are reasonable and staff friendly. I can't wait until it's finished as they are trying to make it as awesome as the flagship park, and maybe even out do it!
