From several long hours of lurking, I'm fairly certain mods can edit your posts. The rules are in the description below the thread title.

I don't quite understand the point of this. Yes of course mods can edit a post (we do for spammers, or people breaking the rules all the time). We don't just do it for the heck of it.

 

And if someone edits your post, you'll see in small print who edited it, when, and why.
