thrillrideseeker Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) So as much as I do in No Limits I thought it would be a great idea to start a thread just for my projects, to keep from having to start a new thread every other day! Yay good idea! So check back here often to see what is new! (No worries Project Dragster is still well underway!)Anywho, First up... Tropical Rush Tropical Rush is one of my current projects, and is almost ready to be released. Now for the press release... Tropical Rush is a fast paced, airtime filled, thrill ride! Riders begin their journey by climbing aboard one of the three 12 passenger trains, they pull down their safety bar, and the train moves into the launch position. After the shot tanks fill with air the 12 riders are sent screaming down the track at 126 mph in less than 2 seconds. At the end of the launch track the riders slow down to a nice 68 mph, and enter the 80 ft high over-bank turn. Following the over-bank turn are there beautiful airtime filled hills that are sure to put a smile on the face of even the toughest critic! After the air time hills the train is brought to a nice slow down, and the riders return to the station. Here are a few photos of the ride! Enjoy, comment, and the download will be up soon!~Matthew Overbank! Beautiful! Brake run, Overbank, and First Airtime hill! *Gasp* Part of the finial brake run, and part of waiting 1! dmaxsba2408 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I don't know what to say, it just didn't do anything for me. I think it would be a fun ride once or twice but that's about it. The air on the way back was great and so was the launch itself but other than that it just... I know it wasn't supposed to be much but it just reminds me of something used for testing not something a park would build or was that the point of it?
DBru Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Well...it looks good, and the concept is definitely fun...but I died twice (airtime was WAY too strong) and there was a major bump off of the launch track. The train also failed the E-stop test, and crashed into the car in front of it...
thrillrideseeker Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 Ok... So I have been working on a new project. Its my first coaster using Newton 2... Well my first coaster using Newton period. Ohhh and it is my first wooden coaster. Its not going to be perfect by any means, but its worth a ride! A bit of information about the coaster... STATS - Name - Tempest - Style - Wooden - Max Height - 145 ft - Coaster Length - 4,318 ft So like I said this is my first wooden coaster, and my first Newton coaster so it will NOT be perfect, but it will still be pretty good! First up are a few screens for you! Download will be up later! Let me know what you guys think so far. ~Matthew
thrillrideseeker Posted December 25, 2010 Author Posted December 25, 2010 So I know its been a while since I posted in here, but I finally got my old computer working, and was able to send the files to my Macbook! So now my progress is back underway! We left off with Tempest... Well here is a new screenshot for you, as well as the download. Download and let me know what you think. I know that its not perfect, I know there are a few rough spots, and not really realistic... but it was my first attempt at a wooden Newton coaster, so enjoy and let me know what you think. ~Matthew 1.bmp Pretty!
