Hi, My parents would like to know if any of you people have been to these parks on spring break (April 5 - 9) and if so, are there large crowds. I have told them about KD and 305. That is the openning week and I told them that it was going to be more crowded than usually but they want to know. The family and me have never been to either of the parks but have been to Kings Isand and BGT. This leds to the question; "Are the parks ran drastically different or are they complete opposites? I know that tampa and williamsburg are different in the animal department but is there anything else that would be more suttle.

We are also looking to drive there, do you know if there is a rail line that does to each park? Thanks in advance, Joel.

I haven't been to those parks during that time, so I can't help you there.

Kings Dominion and Kings Island are pretty similar, they have a lot of the same rides and several areas of the park look kind of the same. Kings Island is bigger and nicer than Kings Dominion and their rides are generally better maintained. Kings Dominion is worth a visit because of Intimidator 305, but the rest of the park sort of seemed like a more rundown version of KI in my opinion.

The Busch Gardens are completely different; one is themed to Africa and the other is themed to Europe. In my opinion Tampa has the better coaster collection while Williamsburg is the nicer park. BGW is a really nice place and is really well landscaped and themed. If you liked Tampa then you'll definitely like Williamsburg.

Hope that helps.

BGW can be pretty busy over spring break. As usual, your best bet is to go on a weekday. I agree with Andrew regarding KI and KD. The latter also has Volcano and Dominator going for it, though.

^^ and ^ Thanks for the info.

The family has decided that we all want to go to Kings Dominion and the parents want to stay 4 days to do everything and I told them that 2 was plenty since Kings Island can be done in 2 but they don't want to listen to me. They are worried that the crowds for I305 are going to enlongate the time that we are going to need.

They want me to ask. So I am, Can you do everything in 2 days at Kings Dominion or do you think that there needs to be more time allowed.

I would kill myself if I had to spend more than a day and a half at Kings Dominion. Seriously, even an open to close day should be more than enough.

I don't even think the water park is open that early so you can't do that. Yeah, you're going to be very bored with anything over 1.5 days.
