FLIPDUDE Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Well, I don't post alot of my RCT3 parks on TPR, but the ones I do post about are ones that I try to put extra effort into and make praticularly interesting. My previous two RCT3 projects being the "met-an-untimely-demise-by-the-hand-of-a-reformat" Fakeland: Japan and the released Incrediworld. And now it's time for my next project to begin... ----------------------------------------------- EMPORIUM STUDIOS! This is the view that greets you as you enter the park. It's not the biggest or most impressive entrance plaza ever, but there's definately something about the sight of the Time Machine and Detonator hanging over the midway that gives you the warm n' fuzzies. The Time Machine takes up two buildings, and between them passes over the midway. It's really nice to see all the people hanging scared before getting sucked into the unknown. And of course, behind it is detonator. The park's freefall drop tower. Watch it loom over you. LOOOOOOOOM. Unsuspecting riders getting ready to take a plunge. Back at the entrance plaza, the sun creates a beautiful view of the monorail station. A closer look at it. Thunder bobs. Next up is Rocky Mountain Rush. The park's mine train rollercoaster. The queue passes through the middle of the ride, and under the monorail. The oh-so-safe looking trains. view from the top of the first drop. Back at the Time Machine's main building, we take a look at a car about to enter the vortex. The queue line offers a nice view of it. TIIIIIIME TRAVEELLLLLLLL!!! I won't give away all the ride's secrets but at some point you fly over a dark area with lots of trees... ...AND GET ATTACKED BY JEFF JOHNSON! Looking down at the midway. More updates coming... Whenever!
dmaxsba2408 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 For an old... oops ancient guy Jeff sure does get around. Wonder how he's managed to keep all his teeth after all these millions of years? Park looks great so far and the safe *cough* mine train cars fit the ride nicely. What are they spiral coaster cars in a mine theme?
thrillrideseeker Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 This park looks great! But I have to ask... What are the strange cars on your B&M track? It looks neat, but what the hell do they do?! ~Matthew
FLIPDUDE Posted January 8, 2010 Author Posted January 8, 2010 Heh heh... I think I'll keep some of the aces up my sleeve for whenever I decide to upload a video, or a park download file to show you what those rides are all about. I'll just say that no, those are not spiral coaster cars on that mine train. Or any other RCT coaster's cars, for that matter.
FLIPDUDE Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 I worked alot more on the park since the first update. Can't show everything I've done in detail just yet, but enjoy! I'm not sure why, but these three look kinda familiar... Despite the fact it's only a minute or two long, it is one of the park's most expensive rides. A sneak preview at what goes on inside those two big buildings it occupies. Heading back on over to the Time Machine. Looooooom. The first drop to RMA has a funny shape, but you get good airtime no matter where you're sitting! Sometimes it even makes your car swing while you drop, which is quite scary! The claustrophobic line to Dr. Tesla's Mentarium. Surrounded by the "Electric" fence. Whirl... Whirl... Whirl... Oh, hey! Look who's open! ...And fury. (Or is it the other way around?) The twin robocoasters always have a long line despite the high upcharge. Rage... The entrance to what are hands down, two of the most popular attractions in the park/ The entrance plaza has a nice, although a bit too crowded of a feel to it. Hmmm... This ride was closed at the time It ook this picture, buut I had a guess what it might be... It's themed to a mad scientist's castle... What goes on inside is pretty awesome. Queing for Dr. Telsa's Mentarium. The teacups ride More Wonder Golf. Wonder Golf is one of the nicer themed Mini Golf courses out there... Outside of the Dells, anyway... Why, it's everyone's favorite minigolf adventure, Wonder Golf! Hmmm... Wonder what that is over there? It's a fun ride, and if you face the other way then it keeps looking like you're going to crash into the rocks! One of the park's newer rides, Tyranasaurus towers over the park. RMA coming swingin' round the bend. Tsunami... Oh, yeah, and some coaster. A look down the park's entrance midway.
the ghost Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 and either Joey or Derrek, not sure who. Anyway, the park looks awesome! It is very unique.
FLIPDUDE Posted February 8, 2010 Author Posted February 8, 2010 UPDATE 3 ------------------------------- Insanity's helix goes over a small, tucked away Plaza where you can find a small merry-go-round, a slide tower, and a snack bar. It's a nice place to relax in. You can see pretty much everything from Detonator. Granted, you'll ahve to ride it several time to sit at every angle in order TO see it, but nevertheless. Yeti takes command of the skyline. LOL! The thing with Emproium Rides is that they always balance that movie feel, without hiding the fact that this is an amsuement park, and there is going to be a big scary drop at the end of the ride. (Although not that big comapred to other, lower budget boat rides, ironically.) The park transformed this plaza into a kiddie playground and it is one of the most crowded areas in the park. There are some family rides placed around the plaza, a playground in the middle, and a place to get some food and ice cream, so needless to say this place is always filled with kids running aorund and tired parents cooling off at the snack bar. But no doubt the crowd favorite at the plaza is... ...The giant slide!!! It's right next to the playground ,and even on relatively empty days there are tons of kids crawling all over it. The ride offers insane amounts of airtime in any seat. The view from the exit, next to the onride photo booth. The entrance to the rapids ride is a lovely bridge that goes over part of the ride. The whole area is really nicely landscaped. And right next to it is anohter monorail station. This one's less fancy than the one on the old midway. Yeti towers in a way that makes sure you see it no matter where you are in the park. Random view of Insanity. Emporium Studios is a very family friendly park, and offers alot of family and kiddie rides. Atlantis: 2015 - The Ride cresting the big hill. In case you've been living under a rock, Atlantis: 2015 is the newest in Emporium Studios' "Rides with budgets that could feed a small country" department, based on the movie. It's a fantastic ride. Wheee...! SKLOOSH! The station is themed to the refugee camp from the movie, it's pretty cool. I won't give EVERYTHING away, but it starts out with you sailing through the city streets.
AlmereStars Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Im geussing the theme is a flooded city?? Anyways the feeling of the park is great. You put a lot of thought in the rides themeself. Great use of CTRs and CFRs. The thing I have a problem with is that almost every rooftop is flat. You do use some CS.. why not try to make some better roofs?
