Sasquatch Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Well i was rather stuck for a name, so unfortunately we are stuck with something completely irrelevant to the ride itself. 1200 riders per hour, 125ft tall, 4000ft long, 57mph, *12* shots of airtime. I really went to town with the smoother on this one, the first drop looks great from the back car! Through the trees!! Biiiiig turnaround Pre-lift Power Bar_The Ride.nltrack Download, comment, such and such!
DBru Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Wow, that was fantastic (as usual)! It may even by my favorite of your rides, yet... Great layout, very smooth, fantastic airtime, and nice surroundings. This thing was a total package. Thanks for sharing!
KDCOASTERFAN Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 I'll have to download this one,it looks sweet! Working on my latest project I noticed that switching train types has an effect on the forces of the ride since my latest project(which I'll put up for review soon) started off with MF trains but I later switched to two bench PTC's & got slightly better performance as a result.
Sasquatch Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 Yeah I definately prefer these trains over any other, partly because of what you said (it for some reason makes quite a difference) and partly because the Millenium Flyers are just as long but have a smaller capacity, which is always the first thing i iron out when designing a coaster.
Sasquatch Posted September 26, 2009 Author Posted September 26, 2009 OK, I posted this ride on NL Coaster Exchange not too long ago (the page is located here) and so far it has not very favourable reviews. Is this coaster that bad? Or have i just had bad luck with the people that reviewed it? Comments would be appreciated please!
DBru Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Is that site new? I didn't even know it existed.. Almost every score they have given you is WAY too low. I mean honestly, there wasn't a single pump that I witnessed, the supports were fine, and the forces were perfect...how did that render a technical score of 6? I don't get it.
Sasquatch Posted September 26, 2009 Author Posted September 26, 2009 Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but some people there might have been way too harsh... I never ever boast about my work (hell, its only a game!), but there have been much crappier rides made that scored well into the 8s and 9s! The mods there seem to think it's fair though. I dunno.
MontuWillOwnYou Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 The ride was great. It was well paced, and exciting. All things that anyone that downloads your rides has come to expect. Only problem with that, is they start to expect more I saw that stuff on the other site. As to their comments.. the idea that the ride was too slow, or pumpy is ridiculous . I wouldn't say all the comments were bad, either. It looked pretty 50/50 to me anyway. The scoring on that site seems pretty low across the board. So a 6 over there may mean more than a 6 at coasterfuel, coastercrazy, or TPR.
