The Missile [NL]

Recommended Posts

Another old project that I rushed to finish for a contest deadline.

======================

The Missile

--Created again for a contest, this one only lasting from Oct 15th to Oct 30th. This one took me again, like 2-3 days as its a shuttle coaster. So keep that in mind...

With the highest tower at 150ft this isnt the worlds largest shuttle, but since Moonsault Scramble is SBNO or gone, this is the worlds most intense shuttle coaster.

Utilizing 2 of those famous Anton Schwartzkopf loops, this ride pulls nearly 6 G's more than twice during the ride in various seats. This ride, unlike nearly every other shuttle in the world gives you airtime, a full -1 of airtime as you come out and into the station. How many shuttles can claim that?

From the pounding G's in the double loop set, to the hangtime in the tops of the loops to the airtime out/in of the station, this shuttle packages up everything you could want in a shuttle coaster: Suprise, Intensity and Fun.

==================================

Also, the G's while they may go red in the sim are FINE for real life standards. NoLimits is not going by real life standards. I will report ratings that are based on the color and NOT the number of the G's. This ride in particular is way under that "most" that a coaster ever pulled safely and is right at the most for a ride currently running, even in the US. So, take the time if you are going to rate on the G's to look at the number and not the color.

Tazs Texas Tornado pulled 6.2 in its time, and that same ride now lessened a bit at SFMW, Zonga, pulls about 5.8-5.9 I believe I have heard.

Also, Tower of Terror at Golf Reef City in South Africa pulls 6.3, and it runs today

Another fun coaster. Loved the layout; the twisting of the spikes was very unique.

My only problem with the ride is that it fails the E-stop test. Also, in the back seat, the transition right out of the station from -1.4g's to 4.5g's in the turn is pretty uncomfortable. That part kind of reminds me of Fahrenheit's ejector hill, which is fun, but also slams your neck into the OTSRs. Just saying.

Yea, it would. And some of these were back before we had more accurate numbers and information to go on. I remember finding a document from an American Association that outlines G Forces and not just max and min, but also the time they should be held for and the time it should take to transition from one to another.

But if you werent getting yourself kicked in the nads by G's on a Shwarzy...it wouldnt be a Shwarzy!

Dont forget his love of crazy blackout-level G's like Mindbender

I really should finish some of the NL Things i've started lately (i think my last finished NL track was like 2 years ago on Coastersims)

Keep in mind it's a schwarzy, so lap bars would lessen that a bit (it'd still kick you around a bit)

But if you look closely, this particular Schwarzkopf has OTSRs, as well.

^Not all of them. OTSR's weren't really a popular choice on sawrzys, so a lot of them had lapbars and seatbelts. Infact, I think Montezoomas Revenge is the only looping coaster (at least in California) that doesn't use OTSRs. Still uses the whole lapbar/seatbelt deal. Revolution also didn't have OTSR's untill 2006ish.

Nice coaster Real, although i have no idea why you packaged it up Forces seemed realistic, and track was smooth. My only gripe is that the lift was way too slow lol.
