cfc Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I'm in a similar situation since I'll be in Williamsburg with my folks from Sunday night through Wednesday, with two park days (Mon and Tues). Right now we are planning to do BGE on Monday (Memorial Day) and Water Country on Tuesday. Our reasoning for this is that BGE will be open later (8pm) on Monday than on Tuesday. How are BGE's crowds on Memorial Day? Would you recommend that we switch those two days? If you have to go on Memorial Day Weekend, Memorial Day itself usually beats Saturday and Sunday--many tourists head for home on that day. I'd stick with your original plan. ^And as for the Scotland and Bavaria parking lots--yep. If they send you there, the park is going to be busy.
Philrad71 Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 How are BGE's crowds on Memorial Day? I went on Memorial Day when Griffon was new and the wait was about twenty minutes. For the most part, the coaster lines were really short (or walk-on's) so you shouldn't have a problem. Longest wait was DarKastle and that was about a half hour/forty minutes. I will be heading down that way the second week of June. We will most likely be going to BGE on Saturday, June 13th so I am a little leary of the potentially large crowds. We will be going with Michael's son and wife and taking the grandkids to the new Sesame Street area. Saturday is the only day available for them to go because of work schedules and school so I'll keep my fingers crossed that the lines aren't too bad!
