Thelegendarymatthew Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 What do you do when you can't sleep? Make a coaster!! Well I opened up nolimits and found on of the doodles I drew up in History today, and decided to just put it in the game. Infact I think every coaster I make is based off of some random doodle I made. Anyways, in the "SkyDiver" thread, I said there was going to be a small steel coaster . . . . .this is not it Now, I have here a wooden GCI/CCI coaster. I say that because if you look at my past GCIS, they suck. I do want to point out a few things first. 1.Yes, I did auto support. 2.The layout is short 3.I couldn't get AHG to work on this computer for some reason. 4.There are a few rough spots, here and there, but its a wooden coaster 5.This is my 3rd coaster made in NL 6.The first drop is based Renegade Oh yeah. I've heard theres custom scenery for NL, if so can you send links/downloads to me. ^Overview ^Turnaround ^Out of the tunnel ^About to do one of those GCI curvy turns Crasher.nltrack Crasher, a ride with palm trees.
Koolkid Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I'm not in anyway a master of No Limits and I must say this was brilliant for a 3rd coaster especially. The main thing I thought that could be improved was the pacing as it didn't really have that awesome , crazy out of control feeling , still good though
themeparkman25 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I actually don't think that was half bad of a coaster! Good job! I thought the track was a little bit rough in places and it could definitely be smoothed out and actually heartlined. Besides that, the lift was a little steep for my taste and it kind of lost its speed at the end. On the other hand, I thought it felt really like a GCI and had a good twisting drop, airtime hills and crazy turns. Good job, this one was fun!
DBru Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 ^Could you please direct me to the airtime hills? I couldn't find any... Pretty nice for your third coaster. There were quite a few pumps that need smoothing, but as you gain experience you will get the hang of shaping certain elements so that they are traversed smoothly. I'd suggest using smaller segments though, as that will also help you to better your control of the shaping. We all know that you have a huge imagination...next time, why don't you show us more of that?
Kennyweird Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 4/10 The good: - relatively smooth for a hand-built coaster. - I saw a few pops of airtime The bad: -Boring and drawn out in a few places. -There was a trim brake in the tunnel. -There were a few noticeable pumps. The verdict: Not great, but considering it's only your third coaster, it's pretty good.
