Erik Johnson Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 I found some older pictures of Taiwan's Windows On China park. The Chinese name means, "Little Person Country". The park mostly consists of miniature recreations of the world's most famous landmarks. They also have several rides such as a tidal wave, dark rides, an a small indoor roller coaster. This is near Windows On China, its the real Shihmen dam near Longtan Taiwan. Notice the small park on the left hand side..Yes there is a coaster credit there. Recreation of Taiwan's Shihmen dam. This is a recreation of Taiwan's Capital building...notice the tanks on a treadmill. People Watching the tidal wave ride. The Tidal Wave ride! You can see the United States in under 20 minutes at this park.
SharkTums Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 ^Thank you for your information! We look forward to visiting the parks in Taiwan someday. I have a volunteer in my office who is also from Taiwan and was just there for Winter Break.
socalMAN123 Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 OMFG, Yamay has one of those spinning boat rides from Europe! Thanks for the info, I've always planned to go to Taiwan someday. Brent "hmmm, I don't think Elissa wants to go to Yamay!" Shenton
Erik Johnson Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 Heh, I forgot about this thread. This thread was my very first Photo: TR I posted on TPR. Hey, you got to start somewhere.
Cerberus Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Leofoo Village Theme Park http://www.leofoo.com.tw/village/English/VisitorInfo/VisitorInfo.htm?%2D1= I keep hearing about this place and REALLY wanting to know more about it. From the few photos and comments I've seen, the theming there is supposed to be pretty level with Disney, and it even has the mysterious, illusive EMV ride. The drop tower and log flume look amazing. The drop vehicles slide up inside a huge tiki mask at the top of the tower and the log flume features drops out of pagodas and down the side of a massive cliff face. Cerberus
