I just hope they got the right guy. The problem I have with it, is that he appeared to be posing no threat to anyone. Most people would just get arrested for doing something wrong. I just think this will cause more trouble for London.

It's unfortunate they they didn't only wound him, because its hard to get information out of a dead person!!!

But if the officers life was in any type of danger, then I would support whatever action he felt was needed to insure his survival.

They are claiming on the news that the people that shot the person may have been plan clothes SAS !. And that they had been following the person. He was challenged as he entered the station and he ran and jumped over the gates and in to the station. If you are challenged by some one with a gun you don’t run. He was also wearing a big winter coat and it was a hot day !.

Now they have said this guy was BRAZILIAN and had NOTHING to do with the bombs! I live in such a cool country! (not)

That poor guy. How must his family feel? We now deserve anything we get. This country disgusts me.......

Again I say :- He was challenged as he entered the station and he ran and jumped over the gates and in to the station. If you are challenged by someone with a gun you DON’T RUN.

In the currant situation in London at the moment you can not put the blame on our Police. The terrorists there ruthless so you can’t take chances with peoples lives. What if he did have a bomb and he got to the train and the police kept challenging him over & over and he blow himself up and killed people. Then you would be saying why didn’t they shot him and stop him from doing it. At the moment the Police are in a bit of a no win situation dammed if you do & dammed if you don’t. Yes it is very sad that a person has lost his life for doing something silly like running away from the police. It seems very innocent but we have been force to take action like this because of the situation we are in. What would you do is that situation ?.

Too bad it had to come to this, especially since London police haven't needed to carry guns. But, hey, you have to do what you have to do to protect yourself!

Heck, they carry bombs...

The police had him completely restrained. They were all on top of him. He couldn't move a muscle, never mind press something to blow himself up. He was running because he was probably freaked out, or maybe he had broken the law in another way and thought he could make a getaway. But remember, they were plain clothes police and he was foreign. Maybe he thought they were bad guys pulling a gun on him. He was foreign and didn't understand the language.

If the guy was unrestrained and appearing to be posing a threat (I admit he did look dodgy with a huge coat on), then cool, shoot the guy, because he may be about to kill people. But as I said, he was completely restrained. And if they really, really felt they had to shoot him, why not shoot him in the legs or arms to stop him moving? Five times in the head? The police themselves say they regret it, which I guess means they feel like I do, and shouldn't have done it

I just think this country are making more and more enemies. We were already hated by most of the world.

This poor guy had been followed by these coppers for some time. What made them think he was a bomber? We could all be bombers! It's not just the terrorists we have to watch out for!

Joanne "so if I was in that situation, and had him completely restrained I would have simply arrested the guy" Allison
