KPWoCkAxX Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I think the beach should be left as is, It gives people a place to relax and walk in the moonlight, I like this park, that woodie rocks! Forgive me if i've missed something but why is the twister smoking?
TurboWagon Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 UPDATE! This weekend was busy so I didn't have much of a chance to add many new things, just kind of work on the small issues that might arise. Here is a closeup of the main Western building in 'The Great Western Journey' It houses 6 stalls!! (But no bathrooms.....I am going to add some near the other entrance to the area) These two shots are of the Kid Zone. This area does not have a name but it has a general theme that I am trying to phase out with the addition of the Kiddie Slide and Merry-Go-Round. You can also see some of the 'theming' work of Little Dipper as well as a view of the Observation Tower. I added a new coaster, making 4 total for the park. This is a Wooden Wild Mouse called The Sea Rat. It is in the 'Shoreside' section of the park and fits within the turnaround of The Strip. Take a look! Phase 1 is almost complete. Now, I am asking those of you who want to give me feedback...In what direction should phase 2 proceed? I have included this overall shot of the park for you to make suggestions. The continuation of Phase 1 is going to add a few more rides and scenery to all sections. There will be a pier with a ride at the end as well as another western ride! I leave you with this night shot. You can see some of the lighting isn't finished but I am getting there!
KPWoCkAxX Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 It's awesome! Sheer awesome! Keep up the great work! I love how Sea Rat is in the Turnaround that's Genious, Well done! I think you should put a water ride in that lake next to the Vekoma.
monkeyoverlord71 Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Here are some random ideas... Random, isn't it
the ghost Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 I agree that a water park sounds like a great idea for this park.
TurboWagon Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Thanks for the comments guys! Especially the thoughts on where I should take the park! Honestly, I have been just doing very minute things with the park lately, like paths accessories and other things you really don't notice unless you look. So I have not made too much progress but did get a chance to take a few shots of what the future will hold for the park. MINI-UPDATE Here is a shot of Vista. It is a new Pier tower. Because of his installation, I lowered the height of the original Observation Tower and it is now called Info Tower. I think it fits better in the kids section when it is smaller anyways. I have yet to play around much with waterparks in RCT3 but I think I might add one south of Shoreside. Here is a little of where the TGWJ will be headed. I added Buffalo Round-Up inside Mustang Runners as well as enclosed some of the station. Bucking Bull Competition will be eventually enclosed with a large barn like structure. The section will most likely end when it reaches the water. I do plan on adding another ride though, possibly a boomerang. And a sneak peak of will be to come...Im thinking, Log Flume, Kid Coaster, Mine Train, River Rapids and some great flat rides! Enjoy!
KPWoCkAxX Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 It still looks so good...... You really work that Western Theme well! I like this park alot! I'm keeping my eye on it! Keep up the good work! The next update is bound to be good!
TurboWagon Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 UPDATE! Well, I worked a little on a new section of the park. What started as this: Evolved into this: Boomtown!! As of right now, the Boomtown Junction!! Mini-Railway is the only way to reach this themed area of the park. Also here are "The Factory" rotovator ride and "The Flooded Mines" The coaster in the area is called "Sugar Pine Crossing". It is a terrain mine train coaster with some pretty decent ratings! I did not progress any on the Boardwalk area but I did create the barn to enclose the Bucking Bull Competition. I leave you with the lights off!
AlmereStars Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 the new mining area looks great! the only tip I have is to make the railroad more "smooth", so not turn - straight track - turn but more - straight track - diagonal-small straight track - back to nondiagonal - s-turn etc. but thats just a minor thing, I really like the mine coaster
TurboWagon Posted November 10, 2008 Author Posted November 10, 2008 Phase 2 Continues! Boomtown!! Well, I have been busy but I have been working on the park when I get a chance. Boomtown!! has grown, adding 3 rides! Golddigger is the zipper ride and adjacent to that is Rock Bottom, the wooden mine train coaster! Loggermill is the log flume. None of these rides have received building treatments but that will come in due time. Here are the ratings for Rock Bottom: The Great Western Journey The Great Western Journey is pretty much complete, all that is left are a few small things like a tree barrier and a small building to house the bathrooms. The Journey Continues, is the kiddie wheel I added. There will be a path south that leads to the new section of the park that has yet to be named as well as the bridge to connect the paths in Boomtown!! To-Be-Named This is a shot of the first ride in a new section that has yet to be named. It is called 'The Escape' but will probably be renamed when the themed area is announced. It already has some good ratings! You can also make out Dune Buggies. It is under The Sea Rat and some of the boardwalk. The kiddies love it! Here are 2 expanded shots, of the land to be developed. If anyone has suggestions I am very open to them. I plan on carrying out the "Lost Worlds-like" section in the grass and only until the main river. Across the river, below Boomtown!!, i have been contemplating a spooky area because there is a good amount of themed objects to work with. Anyways, enjoy!
KPWoCkAxX Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Oh man! It looks awesome! I love the landscaping and Boom-town is really booming! <-- Bad joke That mine train ride looks great! I@m really looking forward to seeing the spooky area!
TurboWagon Posted November 14, 2008 Author Posted November 14, 2008 Here are 2 pictures I took of the park. I apologize that there isn't much to see here; a lot of what I was trying to do with the park since the last update was to just take a glance at the park from different angles and try to determine the exact direction I want it to go. Here is the beginning of the new "Tropic Expedition" section of the park. So far, there aren't any custom structures but those will come in due time. "The Escape" and "Landcrawler" are the 2 rides. "Landcrawler" is a semi-wet ride, allowing spectators to use the adjacent water cannons to "battle off the monster", Yyou might even get a splash while on the coaster. Here is an overall view of the park. A few small things that you might not be able to notice in this overview shot (closer shots to come soon!), The bridge to connect TGWJ and Boomtown!! has been increased to 3 tiles across rather than 2, also, I added another coaster near the lake!! "Kingfisher" is a short, out-and-back wooden reverser coaster. It is meant more for the younger crowd but I think everyone can enjoy it. For the future, I plan on including the TNT Vortex-themed ride in Boomtown!! as well as a floundering ferry near "Kingfisher". Also, Boomtown!! will eventually work its way into the spooky themed section. Tropic Expedition will also be adding more rides but I have yet to decide what exactly will be included. Thanks for looking, There will be another update after the weekend! *Note* If anyone is interested in downloading a version of the park to make some POV's I will gladly redistribute it to those who will do a good job. The park will be up for download in the future, I just dont have much time to show-off the park with POV's and such. Just PM me!
KPWoCkAxX Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Looking good dude! Hope to see more soon.
