Six Flags Enthuseast Posted October 11, 2008 Author Posted October 11, 2008 Gladly, I got a few changes done last night! A small station building was added around Scream!, the station building around Mouse Trap was kept, and VertiGo got a roof above the queue. Plus some terrain smoothing. I got some new custom scenery too! The same on the other side. I will get to the buildings and the food court shortly. Tell me if I could make any more improvements after that and I'll change it eventually! Finally, a bit of terrain changing! A little bit more gradual incline. I can go more gradual, but it's ok for now IMO. VertiGo's roof top. Kinda remind's me of the building that VertiGo @ KBF had, wooden and simple. Scream!'s new building. There could be more, I know, but it took a while to make it. I will add more later as I figure out new stuff or get more custom scenery. The new ride, Free Fall. It was hard to make a building for this, so I kept it normal.... Mouse Traps station building. I kept it simple to make it like a small cage.
andre8 Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 With the terrain, you can use the averager to smooth it out, cause it looks kinda too mountainous.
KPWoCkAxX Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 It's still pretty steep but it's better than just a flat cliff face like before, now it's more of a rugged cliff face, You're getting there, slowly but surely.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted October 13, 2008 Author Posted October 13, 2008 Ok, I got some more terrain stuff done! And some weird face from this guy riding VertiGo! This is a cool view from this angle! Do you have any comments? Call us or e-mail me at oprahwinfrey.com/wtcisthisjustkidding More of the same..... A little bit more terrain smoothing was done. A bit more will be done (hopefully) before tomorrow. I was bored and was riding VertiGo for a while. I just noticed that guy has a weird face!
KPWoCkAxX Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 You're improving every update! It keeps getting better and better, still not that much to see but I can see an improvement from that frist waterfall to what it is now. Good luck and keep trying!
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted October 18, 2008 Author Posted October 18, 2008 I've been REALLY busy lately, but I'll try to update when I can. I get more time on the weekends, so this is becoming more of a weekend project. I need help with the water transport. It says it has no route between stations, but I built 2 stations not way to far away from each other. Does anyone know what's happening? I'd appreciate any help, and thanks in advance! Patrick C
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted October 23, 2008 Author Posted October 23, 2008 Sorry for not updating as much as I used to. School work has kept me busy, and I don't get on the computer for very long. Anyways, the park has intoduced two major attractions: Superman: Tower of Power, and Splashdown! Although Splashdown doesn't have very much scenery and is out of the way of the rest of the park, it has opened up a new area of the park and will be filled with more rides and scenery soon enough. More custom scenery was added and placed, so the park is on a roll! Now, to the photos! Oh, nearly forgot, Jesus visited the park today! If anyone can find a S:ToP symbol that I can use on the tower side, I would appreciate if they posted it so I could put it there. And to end this update, a weird view of VertiGo from the ground. Some random spot lights that were put to illuminate the towers at night. Any help with the water transport would be appreciated! I need to get it going so peeps have an easier time getting through and around the park. A random group of peeps crowded up at the exit for Mousetrap. Splashdown is now open! (Yes, I did wait for a Scream train to go through the loop before taking the pic.) The begining stater for the lift. Some better magnetic brakes were added to Scream!, although it's hard to put them in diagnal position. Free Fall got its queue painted. Ok, fine, it got cememted The same stuff on the other side. You can see a bit of the park from this angle. Land smoothing! Some more work was done on that while the new rides were being built. Splashdown with an arch that crosses the splash area. A weird view of the tower from the top. Superman: Tower of Power! The red side launches, and the yellow side drops.
DBru Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 The towers are really good; nice work! Right now though, I'd continue with smoothing the landscape, and adding FOLIAGE!
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted October 23, 2008 Author Posted October 23, 2008 ^Thank you! Yes, trees and foliage are my next big concern.
andre8 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Looking good, nice use of the oldspice corkscrew arches!
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted October 24, 2008 Author Posted October 24, 2008 Thank you very much! I got the idea from Six Flags Gabillian Gardens. He did the same thing, except I put a roof and logos on the tower too.
KPWoCkAxX Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Ok, I don't like the track on the left hand side of the loop. But other than that it's getting better, keep going with the terrain that's also looking much better and also add trees! I would suggest that for your next park do your landscaping first and then add stuff as you go along! Keep it up, you're improving every update!
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 ^The track on the left hand side of the loop... What do you mean, the twists and stuff after the barrel roll and overbank turn?
DBru Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 ^I think he means the straight segment of track and then the long, gentle slope uphill...
KPWoCkAxX Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 ^I think he means the straight segment of track and then the long, gentle slope uphill... You nailed it!
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 Actually, it's a couple of curves before the gentle slope to the brakes. But I agree: it is a bit boring. Next update will feature a new pre-brake section! ilovecoupons said "were are the photos?" Are they not appearing on your screen?
Thelegendarymatthew Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 I do have a suggestion, try getting some custom scenery. Also, try to get your work a bit more detailed. . . . . . . . . no offense but right now the park seems pretty dull and boring. You gotta add those details. I hope you use this advise -Matt
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 ^None taken. I do have a bit of custom scenery, but I need to use it well. Thanks for the advice!
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 Announcement: Due to many problems, glitches, and uber-lag, this park will be ended in 4 or so updates. It's just that the way I built the park to start wasn't so good, and I know in my heart I can do better. Anyways, the park is great right now! Much needed foliage was added, a new loop-de-loop ride was added, more land smoothing, and a new chairlift that replaced the old boat transport. A sign teaser to end this update... A beautiful night view over the park. More of the same. More land smoothing. This is about as far as I will go with this... The new chairlift. A lot of trees here! Stall: The Ride. An improved LIM system powers the train up the last hill. Sexy B&M track that just twists and turns. Three more loops! Until the overbank! Everything looks normal.... Notice the foliage? And you are in for a treat!
KPWoCkAxX Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 See how much of a difference the trees make? Looks better now. Nice update, keep working!
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 Announcement: The park has announced the addition of Deja Vu, the next generation of boomerang coasters! Riders will..... Ok, fine, you all know the stats of Deja! I'll post the pics later, as it is nearly time for me to go to bed.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted November 8, 2008 Author Posted November 8, 2008 Ok, here they are! The pics of construction this far. Plus, S:ToP got some new signage. Notice anything different? Notice the black supports? SFUA decided to change the support color so that it would be a bit different compared to the other Deja Vu. One side is completed, one is 1/4 of the way done. Deja Vu! Path that leads to....
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 The park will be on hold for a little bit due to a lot of school work and stuff. Just letting you know that Deja Vu construction is done, but I don't have the pics yet.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted December 4, 2008 Author Posted December 4, 2008 I have photos ready, but my batch photo isn't installing (finished 30 day trial, now it won't install) and I can't shrink my pictures on the website that has it. But I can tell you that Deja Vu is open, Vertigo was renamed Thrill Shot, and a new S&S Swat was added. It's called...... well, what do you think? Sorry about that, I'll try to find some way to shrink the pictures. SFE
