the ghost Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 As everyone on this site knows Holiday World has an amazing terrain coaster called the Raven which is built by CCI. Is however is not common knowledge that after the success of THe Raven CCI decided to build another terrain based coaster in a small park in England. Here is the official logo ( Note I did not create this logo but it was from a logo site on google images.) The trackwork is complete, I do however need to add some supports and give the coaster a paint job. here is the logo headless horseman.nltrack have a good ride on headless horseman.nltrack have a good ride on
haux Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 You know what's awesome? The Legend, built after Raven's success, is based on "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" with the headless horseman. Ha. I hope you're not building a Legend clone!
mcjaco Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 You no what I like? Threads that aren't just announcements. If you've completed a project, start a thread, post pictures, upload the track file. Otherwise, wait.
the ghost Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 MY RIDE IS NOW POSTED SO GO AND HAVE A GREAT RIDE ON HEADLESS HORSEMAN
haux Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 THANKS FOR SHOUTING. This is a joke, right? I mean, you didn't spend more than five minutes on this, and you just posted a rough draft, right? Right? I won't bother with a critique unless you really, really want one.
the ghost Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 Ouch man that was kind of mean. This is only my second coaster ever. What did you not like( besides maybe the very end, but I tried smoothing that) I am actuaully kind of proud of the layout.
haux Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I'll go in depth tomorrow. I didn't know it was your second coaster, but I can see that. I apologize if I came off as a jerk, but, really, spend more than five minutes on a coaster. Ride in the back seat, check the G-forces, make brakes and the lift hill straight (push "I"), and think in terms of realism if you want a realistic coaster.
rollerboy Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 ^ Agreed Also your banking was wrong in quite a few place, it was getting a lot rougher nearer then end. Try using the smooth tool (ctrl and g) effectively. I would just like to add this is only your second coaster so don't get disheartened by this I am just trying to help, I actually thought it was quite good for your second coaster. Maybe try and improve it and post the track again? Jordan.
DBru Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 This wasn't half bad for one of your first coasters! Though lacking in airtime, the layout was nice, and pacing was decent. Next time, make sure to work on banking, lateral forces, and straightening your lift, station, and brakes.
the ghost Posted September 12, 2008 Author Posted September 12, 2008 Draft 2 ( hopefully a final) is currently in the works. Thank you guys so much for your criticism.
