Hey Guy,

Thought of you tonight as our family started planning Thanksgiving in Gatlinburg. Verly likely we'll do Dollywood like you all did and the parents were very interested in the shows, particularly after I recounted your trip there. Mom is excited to go.

 

Anyway, just wanted to say you were a good influence on what promises to be a great family trip this year. Enjoyed this TR as well.

I usually get over to Dwood several times during the Christmas season. It is my favorite time to get up there as the "unit" loves the Smokey Mtn. Christmas Celebration.

 

Out of curiosity, have you been to Beech Bends Lights spectacular? It is awesome as well, and nothing is as refreshing as a ride on the Kentucky Rumbler in 30ish degree weather. It usually enduces icicle tears from your eyes, as well as some of the rosiest cheeks ever. God love people who aren't afraid to run their coasters in the winter!

This will be our first year there, and my second trip to Gatlinburg. Think it's gonna be great! How long does the Beech Bend thing run? That would make for a good adventure and help with park withdrawal.

 

If you all will be in Pigeon Forge, and time permits, we should meet up. Me nor parental units are very familiar with HoliDolly. We'd be up there the wednesday before TG and leave that Sunday.

 

Anyway, I've threadjacked this long enough. Thank you for not only a great Dollywood TR, but also the good Beech Bend info.

^No worries Dude. As far as TG weekend goes, as much as I would love to, I won't be able to meet up. January's birthday is on Thanksgiving this year so we will definitely be with family. So I will have to pass. Sorry.

 

As far as Beech Bend is concerned, their Holiday Lights Spectacular is open every nite from 5pm-10pm Dec 5th- Jan 3 this year. It is a fun little event to attend. If you have the means. I will definitely do a TR about that as well.
