Kennyweird Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 On my way back from the orthodontist I noticed the Murrysville VFD was holding a carnival, so I decided to satisfy my curiosity and check out later that night. Enjoy! Here's another picture of the ferris wheel. Thanks for reading. I'm nauseous, get me out of here! A Scrambler, which I also didn't ride. They also had a Fun Slide, which I didn't feel like doing. Then it was off to Zero Gravity, the worst named Super Round Up on earth. Next up, the Hurricane! The stupid thing almost broke my femur. The bottom half featured an insane mirror maze. Next, Monkey Maze! Almost worth the two dollars I spent on it. I almost puked after riding this. Up next, Dizzy Dragons! Here I am, about ready to get my butt kicked by the inverter ship. First ride of the night: a ghetto a$$ swinging inverter ship. I didn't even bother to ride it. Is this a credit I see? Unfortunately, it's powered, so no. And of course, no ghetto fair would be complete without the most painful carnival ride ever conceived, the Hurricane! They also had this ghetto ferris wheel. They had one of these stupid train things there. ^ The fair was pretty small, as this and the next picture will testify. Yay, we made it! Time for some good old fashioned carnival fun! We had to wait for this monster of a storm to pass before going to the fair.
ebl Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Maybe you meant "Hurrica" And, yes, those are painful. I rode one at the Ventura County Fair a few years back. If I recall, we got something like a six-minute ride on it. Eric
VivaLaVibora Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Hurricanes aren't that painful. You haven't ridden the Downdraft which is something else. If you really don't like carnivals, don't post about them, and don't go on the rides. Instead, you just ridicule them, and than ride the rides.
Kennyweird Posted June 19, 2008 Author Posted June 19, 2008 ^ Well, the one I rode was painful. You see, my sister's weight was pressing my leg into the side of the lap bar, which effectively cut off circulation to my leg and led to the most painful ride I've ever experienced. I would gladly ride a Vekoma Boomerang 12 times in a row instead of going through the pain that Hurricane caused me.
wildcatroc Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 My single ride on a Hurricane was one of the worst rides I've ever taken... except instead of a leg into the side of the lap bar, it involved a camera and cell phones in pockets. Ouch. ^ Well, the one I rode was painful. ECZenith Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Oh wow... I remember riding the HurriPain when I lived in Rhode Island, besides the fact that it smashes you around, it's the one ride that always feels like it's going to break! Coming back from the San Diego fair, these pictures make me feel... dirty. Just kidding, I'm known to never just drive by ANY carnival.
