Disney's Yacht & Beach Club in Orlando?

I am taking a trip with my family to Orlando this summer and we are staying at the Yacht & Beach Club Resort. Has anybody been to this resort. I know I could go search the internet to find reviews but I've been looking and viewing at this forum and noticed you guys are honest.

 

Service?

$$$$ for food?

Opinion?

Cleanliness?

Yacht and Beach Club is super nice. You won't be disappointed in any regard!

I've been to the place itself, though didn't stay. We were going to eat at Beaches 'n' Cream, but there was quite a wait, so we passed.

Elissa's right. The place is top-notch, and you'll LOVE it. The service is great, the rooms are great, the location is great (you can walk into Epcot), and the pool area is one of the best at any Disney resort.

At Yacht & Beach Club, both Yachtmans Steakhouse and Beach N Cream are awesome. Plus you can easily walk across to the Boardwalk, Spoodles is great.

There are several different rooms with different view, which one's are the best? (boardwalk view, garden view, etc)

^It depends on what you like. Boardwalk side may be louder, but have a nice view of the lake and area.

 

I also believe some rooms offer a view where you can see Illuminations? I know Boardwalk has some!

There are three views available: The Standard view, the Garden view, and the Water view. Normal rooms can be booked for Standard or Water view. Concierge level rooms can be booked for Garden or Water view.

 

Standard view rooms overlook the nicely landscaped parking or wooded areas around the hotel. Garden view rooms typically overlook the slightly nicer areas around the quiet pool, or even the wedding gazebo. Water view rooms have a direct view of Crescent Lake and the Boardwalk. Some of the Water view rooms are located just above Stormalong Bay and may be a bit noisy during the day. Note also that not all water view rooms offer a direct view of the lake and the Boardwalk. Many are at right angles to the lake, making it often difficult or impossible to see the Boardwalk. If you should book a Water view room, don't be disappointed if you don't have a direct view of the lake.
