mich311e Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 I'm a long time fan of Magic Mountain but I haven't been since October 2005. I have a few questions for the regular visitors of SFMM: 1) Is Twicket still available? If so how much? 2) Does anyone know if the Thomas Town plan includes the "Bertie the Bus" or "Harold the Helicopter" rides like Six Flags in Vallejo, CA has? 3) Does anyone have a picture of the "Circus Wheel" ride? I've seen the updates that show all the rides removed (I'm totally bummed about Flashback, Psyclone and Spin Out) but I cannot remember this ride at all. Thanks in advance! ~Michelle
wrs28330 Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 1) Twickets should be available at the Sales Center behind Guest Relations for $10.

Welcome to TPR! I moved the thread into this forum, specially designed for asking these sorts of questions. Now to get to some answers: 1) The twicket is in fact still available. I believe they cost $10. 2) So far, no Bertie the Bus or Harold the Helicopter rides have been planned for Thomas Town, as those exact ride models are currently in Magic Mountain's Bugs Bunny World. 3) I still cant find any photos of Circus Wheel, but it's just your standard Tilt a Whirl flat ride! I'll keep looking for photos. -Jahan
AllenA07 Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 I actually have a picture of Circus Wheel from my old site, so I'll throw that one up here. It's not the best, but it'll get the job done. . If you're wondering, because I'm sure you are, the ride was originally built by Sensei. For it's history my notes claim that it was originally named Baile de las Flores, it was moved to where Goliath is now in 1988 and renamed Jolly Roger. In 1999 the ride became Circus Wheel and was moved to its current location. Hope this helps.
mich311e Posted February 29, 2008 Author Posted February 29, 2008 Thank you! I have totally been on that ride but it's been years and I couldn't picture it. Now I know.
ebl Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 That Tilt-a-Whirl "whirled" its way around the park, and then into history! Eric
AllenA07 Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Baile de las Flores was one of the first rides in the park, sad to see it come out.
ebl Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 ^ Actually, that didn't arrive at SFMM till 1983, so it was really one of the newest---at least in SFMM years with respect to flat rides! Eric
Rideslover Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Circus Wheel as Tilt-A-Whirl was in past under named Baile de las Flores and Jolly Roger. I saw the Tilt-A-Whirl Tub only one left at near Deja Vu and other more that I guess it's scrapped just like Freefall, Sierra Twist and Spin Out.
