A couple short stories you might enjoy.

 

Many years ago at Busch Gardens Europe, I was passing by Vikings Fury and the people on it were chanting "Tastes great! Less Filling!" ala the old beer commercial, while they were swinging back and forth. Eventually, a crowd gathered, just watching and laughing.

 

I went to Six Flags over Georgia in high school with the family and the Looping Starship was running while we waited in the ticket line. It spun all the way around once, then again, then hung upside down for several seconds and everybody on the ride got really quiet. Just before it started to drop, one guys yells "oh no, not agaaaaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnnnn!" Cracked up everybody in line.

 

Was kinda sad to see Looping Starship at SFoG go. It had charactor. Anyway, hope the stories are of interest to you and good luck with your info search.

There is a park in New Hampshire where I am from Called Canobie Lake Park and they have a pirate ship. When we used to go on it we would chant " Hefty Hefty Hefty" on one side in a manly voice and on the other side it would be "Whimpy Whimpy Whimpy" in the girly voice!! We also did the "Tastes Great Less Filling" one too!!

Montezooma: WOOOW!! Many thanks for you post! Do you know when that catalogue was made? bacuse they didn´t listed Aerovarvet at Liseberg under the Space Shuttle reference. And that was installed for the 1989 season.

 

 

Rapidsnerd: *laughs* i can hear that guy yell! Many thanks for your funny storys. Why did they remove your Starship? If i´m not mistaking, it was the white one that they took out together with The Great Gasp thing?

Wasn´t that LSS in great shape still??

 

I went to upset when they rebuilt Aerovarvet so i called up the attractionmanager and complained together with the quoestion"Why why why"??

Those came from the Intamin 20th anniversary catalog, I am not sure what year that was but if anyone knows what year Intamin started business then add 20 years and you will have the date. Here is the rest of the catalog.

I actually don´t know myself when Intamin started. I just do know that since the 80´s, their development has more or less exploded!

 

 

 

Isnt´t there anyone who has pictures of Power Dive? I would like to see that! And does Z-force mean anything specific? Is it some kind of thing like G-Force or is it just a name?
