Yankee cannonball Posted December 31, 2007 Author Posted December 31, 2007 ^would be cool as a flying coaster stuff like that is pointless on sitdown coasters though.
Adrenaline_Rush Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 I could see MM making Superman more powerfull and taller to make it even higher! They could easily break the record for tallest coaster. Names wise I would call a 500' ride a "why the hell did we build this ride its a total waste of money and time and you just waited for 66 hours for a 3 second ride experience how dumb do you feel right now-o-coaster" And to shorten it up its acronym is WTHDWBTRIATWOFATAYJWF66HFA3SREHDDYFRN-O-Coaster
coolhandluke Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 ^ You messed up one letter in the acronym... I could understand if the coaster was set up like the Vegas proposal (and it IS Vegas...), but for SFMM or CP or any "normal" park to make a ground-level coaster that tall would be stupid. I won't wait in the queue for TTD as is (I run there first thing so I can ride it w/o waiting). The ride would just be ridiculous and an absolute bear to maintain. If your home park gets one, prepare for a Geauga Lake-esque demise of the park in a couple years... Names...maybe a Mesocoaster or Ionocoaster (for atmospheric reference) or peta-, exa-, zetta-, or yottacoaster (for SI measurement prefix reference).
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted December 31, 2007 Posted December 31, 2007 Aside from ridiculous, I think it would depend on who builds it. Intamin = Torture Most likely fun. Vekoma = Most likely fun. Eric Fixed. But yeah, whatever Cedar Point comes up with, since they have to name everything... As far as I'm concerned, it could be called a "ZOMGANOTHERFCKINGPOINTLESSWASTEOFMUNNEES" Coaster
Tanks4me05 Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 If you make this coaster a terrain coaster, in some place like Kennywood, where you would have Giga Coaster supports, with a (what I want to call it) Penta Coaster drop, it would be cheaper than being built somewhere in, oh say, Florida, for it's flat land. But even better, build this on either a mountain, or a Skyscraper/large tower other than Stratosphere, which much of the cost for that main drop will be eliminated due to FAR less steel required for supports.
the sound Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Aside from ridiculous, I think it would depend on who builds it. Intamin = Torture Most likely fun. Vekoma = Most likely fun. Eric Fixed. Huh? Torture most likely fun? What the hell does that mean?
the sound Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 ^ Well... If it is referring to what I think it may be referring to then I guess no, not really.
