I'm sure you would do this anyway, but make sure you get a chance to hold whatever DSLR you plan to buy somewhere that doesn't have a leash attached to it.. The size of the 40D can be too big for some people's preference ^Zack, if you want to get more into photography, a DSLR will put that thing to shame!
