DoctorQ9
My Son and I rode the ROTM coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood last Thursday. I expected the "false end of the ride" scene at the end -- instead, we got a ton of fog/mist, flashing lights, then the ride car turned around and we headed to the original loading platform. Was this "fake off-load platform" that I read about only in the Florida version, or did Universal just pull one of those "Option B" endings (like the ones Disney does) when an animatronic scene is broken? ghost007jas
If I understand you correctly (and I think I do) that is the new "shocking ending" to the Mummy. I was expecting some animatronics or something as well, but what you described is indeed the normal version, not an "option B" ending.
RCFreak
The fake ending is on Florida's mummy only. What you experienced is indeed what is supposed to happen.
Zen Coaster
Yeah, I did RotM with Evan (What Now) in the week before the Midwest Trip & sorry to its fans but I just don't like it anywhere near as much as the Orlando version. Superior to Disaster Transport though.
