PhishyBrewer Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Check out the video @ http://www.streamload.com/phishybrewer Funderland is a little kiddie park down the street from my house. It's got about 10 rides or so, and a coaster. My 3 year old son, Gavin-Trey, picked up his third coaster credit today on the "Flying Dragon" The video is nothing to special. Just some footage of the fam and the park. Went to the park today and put the video together in like half and hour. About 2 minutes long at 20m. And like always, download, then play. I think Rattums has cousins that live at this park. The Funderland website is http://www.funderlandpark.com/ Enjoy!
Jeezus Juice Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 My work filter won't let me watch your video so I'll have to wait until monday. We will be up in sacramento 4th of july weekend though so I gotta ask, are adults allowed to ride? We're also checking out Sunsplash waterpark so no, we're not just going somewhere to ride a kiddie coaster. We'd never do that Also they don't have a website (either park actually) so do you have any info as to cost/operating hours for these 2 places? Thanks my Sacto Homie, -Don

Thanks my Sacto Homie, -Don It's been forever since I've been to a water park. But from what I hear, Sunsplash is pretty awesome. I believe they have a water coaster there. I'm going to have to check it out one of these days. Let me know what you think. Were going to try and hit Six Flags Water World tomorrow. Will be the first time there. Not expecting to be to impressed. For Funderland, it is a general kiddie park. Yet, adults can ride the Flying Dragon. Tickets are $1.50 each and each ride takes one ticket. We usually go with the buy 10 tickets for $12. The Sacramento Zoo is across the street. And also Fairy Tale Town is next store to Funderland. You can fill in half a day by doing the zoo, Funderland and Fairtale Town. The Funderland website is listed above. Within there links is the website for Fairtale Town. http://roseville.golfland.com/ this is the link for Golfland/Sunsplash. SunSplash Waterpark Admission General Admission Price: $21.99 48" and taller Jr. Admission Price: $16.99 under 48" tall Toddler Price: $1.00 Ages 2 & under w/ paid adult Senior Price: $10.00 55 and better After 3 - 6:30 PM All Admissions Price: $11.99 Nite Slides 7:30PM - 11:00PM Price: $10.99 Have fun!
PhishyBrewer Posted June 11, 2005 Author Posted June 11, 2005 AHH... Master Blaster Water Coaster Slide 40 miles per hour, straight down five stories on an inner tube; all the thrills of a roller coaster, and the rush of a waterfall. The only water roller coaster in California! Must be 42” to ride.
Jeezus Juice Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Thanks for the links! I didn't see the one in your first post for some reason. Congrats on your kids credits! Just be sure to let me know if you get tired of riding with him on Taxi Jam. This year we got SFMM passes instead of SFMW ones because they were cheaper. Of course that means we don't get addmission to the two WaterWorld park (at least I don't think we do). But to be honest, nothing about those waterparks really looks that interesting. Plus the fact that most of the punk kids in NorCal have passes there and probably clog up the place. I've been waiting for a chance to go to SunSplash. That place looks awesome everytime I drive by. Plus they have mini-golf! -Don
PhishyBrewer Posted June 12, 2005 Author Posted June 12, 2005 ^Don, where is Gummy Glen exactly in California? Do you live with Cavin, Sunni and Grammi?
Jeezus Juice Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Gummy Glen can be found between Small World and the Sub Lagoon behind the Matterhorn. Were having alot of construction right now and the Gummy lake has been drained. Plus Sunni is being a bitch. All because I made out with her younger (and more attractive) sister. She'll be back though once she realizes I'm the best in the greater east Fantasyland area. Grammi died last year, we put smurf powder in her Gummi Berry juice. We were trying to clear up that gravely voice of hers. Oh well. -Jeezus "Bouncing here and there, everywhere really" Juice
SLUSHIE Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 I've never even heard of Funderland. I have been to Fairl Tale Town, but that was quite some time ago. I haven't actualy been in the Sunsplash waterpark for many years, but I drive by almost everyday and the place looks really crowded. The park in size is much smaller than Water World, but the slides are much better at Sunsplash and amazingly, Sunsplash has more. Most of the slides at sunsplash are new and unique, unlike Water World. Well I guess Water World has a half pipe thing now, but Sunsplashes is bigger and dumps you in a pool, where I guess at Water World you just stop at the bottom and have to stand up and walk off. This pic is from last year before that slide was open, but it kinda shows some of their slides.
Jeezus Juice Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 ^ Great! Thanks for the additional info. We have driven by this place a lot but always in snow season so the waterpark is never open. We've been invited to a 4th of July block party in Sacramento so we'll use that as an excuse to grab a kiddie credit and check out this waterpark (finally). You guys don't even want to know what my home waterpark is like.
