metsfan11 Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Hey everyone! I’m going to be at Six Flags Great Adventure next weekend (the 13th), and I want to know if Kingda Ka will probably be open then. I know that a million things could happen between now and then, but I’m wondering if everything is ok with the ride as of right now. Thanks a lot everyone, and BTW, I’ll definitely post about how Fright Fest was.
BuddyChrist Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 It should be operating, it hasn't had any major problems this season. I'll be there that day too so it better be open! Chiller's a different story though Glad I got my 70 rides in on it this year while I could
CycloneMan Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Kingda Ka has was running perfectly fine this past weekend, so I see no reason for it to be closed. -Dainan "Unless it's raining " Rafferty
TheArchfiend Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I shall answer thou's question if thou will answer me these questions three: Question the first... Seriously though: Will it work... If it rains? Nope. If it has a technical/mechanical problem? Nope. Does anyone on the planet know for sure if any of these conditions will apply to your visit? Nope.
yankees15 Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Yes it should be open. This past Saturday the 29th, it ran great all day with 4 trains in the afternoon causing a 2 train wait for any row except front. It only broke down once and this happened while I was strapped in the train, but it only was a 10 minute breakdown.
CycloneMan Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 ^Actaully, when I went up to Kingda Ka at around 9:30pm on Saturday, they were only running two trains. So I waited from the middle of the switchbacks! -Dainan "So...it was not worth it" Rafferty
yankees15 Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 ^Yea they switched back to 2 train operation around 5-5:30. I waited an hour from 6-7 for sixth row. It was the worst ride I ever had on it, even rougher than the back row. Even with it being rough it is still a great ride.
ParkTrips Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 In the future, it is best to call the park and ask if it is expected to be closed, and remember things can happen at any time that could close a ride. These sort of threads are otherwise quite pointless.
