Wes Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Hey all, I'm planning out my big trip to Florida and I'm thinking of taking advantage of Universal Express system that they offer if you stay in one of their hotels. Question: If I stay at the hotel for one night, does UE work on both the day I check in AND check out? Also, there is going to be four people in our group. Do we all get to use UE? Thanks! Wes
SharkTums Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Wes, It works on both check in day and check out day If you want 4 people to have it you have to put 4 people on your reservation even if they're not staying there. We did that for Dan once! It's usually about $25 extra per person to add them to the room (so they have the room key which is also the express pass). This is worth it if you're going to either do both parks in one day, or spend two days at the parks. Elissa "hope this helps!" Alvey
Wes Posted June 9, 2005 Author Posted June 9, 2005 Makes sense. It's funny that adding an extra guest to the Universal hotel is going to cost about as much as a night at one of the All-Stars. Thanks! Now I just have to find a good rate for The Royal Pacific.
SharkTums Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Behind Annual Passholder and Florida Resident, AAA is usually best (at least this is what one of the guys who works in that department told me at the Florida meet). www.mousesavers.com usually has the discount codes to put in online so you can see the different prices. For example: APH = annual pass FLL = Florida resident and there were more! Elissa "APH RULZ!" Alvey
Sir Clinksalot Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 lemme know how you do as far as getting a decent rate, Wes. Loews has been pretty crappy about releasing good rates lately. We called with Annual Passes in one hand and an Entertainment card in the other, and the best rate we got was $219 off season for Royal Pacific.\ Considering we had stayed there during HHN for $109 a night, we had to pass. Royal Pacific, despite being the cheapest of Universal's resorts, is friggin' gorgeous by the way.
SharkTums Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 We got if for $139 during Memorial Day Weekend with the APH rate. They really have weird pricing. We had to stay Thurs & Friday due to minimum stay requirements...oh well, it was really nice! Elissa "on par with the Disney Deluxes" Alvey
CoasterFanatic Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Recently (last day or two), I have seen deals around the $159 range if you stay 4 nights. // thinks that a sticky hotel deal thread would be jolly good
