sfmmrules! Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I will be going to Cedar Point for the first time next summer. I plan on going during the week & spending 2 days there. Any suggestions? - where to stay (on property), ect. THANKS!
thecoasterkid Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 ^ Good call! So basically, don't go at all, because you can guarantee atleast some rain. Honestly man, you're asking a pretty vague question that I'm sure has been answered before. Try a search! 3 Quick tips just because I'm Canadian and therefore have to be polite/nice: 1) Stay at Breakers Express or the Bonair section of Breakers. They're cheap (for the on property resorts, still overpriced really) and the rooms are still decent enough. 2) Do one of Cedar Points package deals, they are pretty good value. 3) 2 full days at the park is enough time to hit all the coasters any time of the year, so don't worry about rushing around trying to get all the credits in. Take it easy, relax, and just soak in the atmosphere.
sfmmrules! Posted September 17, 2007 Author Posted September 17, 2007 Is the weather good end of June? & how are the crowds end of June on a Tues & Wed? & which coaster should I go on first Maverick or Millenium Force or Top Thrill Dragster?
Tanks4me05 Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 The end of June is when I go to major parks (heck that's when I'm going next year.) and although I can't tell you about the weather because I only went once, in 2004 (the weather was good) the lines are not that bad, as mostly everything is under an hour wait, with the exception for Mantis, MF, TTD, and occasionally Raptor. Hotel Breakers is good because you are in the park, and can pretty much just get to riding without any driving. As for what to ride first, I suggest go to whichever ride is newer for the "ERT" (Hotel guests can ride two coasters an hour before the park opens, and it should be Maverick and MF, so I should go over to Maverick because it is new.) Other than that, and possib;y trying to ride TTD at night (ride Mantis at night, also, the line is only about 15 minutes instead of an hour) I say that you can do pretty much anything as the lines are short enough so that you can do everything in the two days that you will be there.
denning Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 If you are lucky you can bumped from the Bon Aire section to the tower. That happened to us, and our 120 dollar a night room was right beside the the $360 a night rooms. It is just so great to on property.
sfmmrules! Posted September 17, 2007 Author Posted September 17, 2007 Has anyone stayed in a cottage at Lighthouse Point? I'm thinking of staying there.
