Coaster Craze 2007 PTR!

After a much needed long nights sleep I'm back from Coaster Craze with a 100+ pic PTR.

 

I got there at around 7:45 after a 45 minute drive, got my pass, got my funpack, got my ERT button, and waited for them to open the park. After 8, they finally opened the park, and I walked back to Renegade for morning ERT. There wasn't too many people there yet, so I got my choice of seat. I saw another coaster enthusiast, said hi, and we hung out the rest of the day. Morning ERT was great. I got 11 rides on Renegade, and 5-6 on Excalibur. I agree with most people, that Renegade does speed up and get more airtime as it grows older.

After morning ERT, it was a blur of rides. We got all coaster credits yesterday except for Mild Thing. (We weren't in the mood to pay any kids to ride with us. ) At around 11:45, we got off ripcord, and headed back for lunch. Basic american food at the Coaster Craze lunch. (Beans, chips, burgers, hot dogs. . .) Pretty good stuff. Again. . . after lunch, it was a blur of rides, coasters, and free water.

At around 9:30, we got in line for Wild Thing, and waited for the front. After a couple cycles, and moving up slowly, some idiot hole lost their glasses on the ride. The person decided to complain to Valleyfair, (because it's their fault ya know. . . ) besides the fact that the warning signs say,

 

Valleyfair is not responsible for items lost or damaged during a ride, and you accept risk of leaving the item.

 

Okay. So now we had to wait 15 minutes. FINALLY, the maintenance people come back from searching up and down Wild Thing, with a pair of $2 dollar glasses that just happened to be damaged. They handed them to the lady who lost them, she didn't want them, there was an uproar of (F*** YOU's, Middle Fingers, rude name callings, and "THANKS FOR RUINING MY NIGHT B***H!". We ended up getting the ride in the front seat, so that was fun. After the park closed, we headed up towards Renegade, only to find a security officer saying to us, "I'm sorry, all the rides are closed back there, you have to leave the park" We whipped out our ERT buttons, and received an "Oh I'm terribly sorry, you are free to go!" and walked away thinking, that's right! Night ERT was amazing on Renegade! That thing hauled through the course faster than ever. We got 7 rides on Renegade, 2 on Excalibur, and um. . . 5-6 on Wild Thing. We had to leave 5 minutes early to catch our ride, but on the way back, I felt like I was at Valleyscare. We were walking through the riptide midway, and all the games had their red/white striped covers on them, and there was a single red light and the end of the midway. I swear, I would've screamed so loud if someone had jumped out of one of those games. Overall, I had a great time at Coaster Craze, and I'm definitely looking forward to going back next year!

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me when and why sexy left. I didn't even realize it was happening. Where did it go, anyway?

 

I want to go back and ride Renegade again. I would have loved to go, but I was in the Boundary Waters and it would have been quite improper to leave before finishing my trip.

 

BTW, you aren't allowed to ride Mild Thing period if you're over 54". Not even with a kid.
