Kingbooba Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 My parents and I went to BGE today. My parents don't ride coasters anymore. I don't remember when we got there. Here is my TR: As soon we pulled into the parking lot, it was raining. Only slightly though. However, it was enough to shut down all the coasters. But by the time we got in the park itself, everything was operating again. We started by getting a snack at the Squire's Grill in England. Then we headed to Nessie. We got there and the queue was backing into the path! (But they weren't using the switchbacks) I asked the girl at the entrance how long the wait was and she said around 30 minutes! So we took the train to New France. We arrived there and went to Griffon. The clock at the entrance pointed to an hour wait. So I asked the guy at the entrance if the wait really was an hour long, and he said it really was around 45 minutes. So I got in the line, waited, waited, and kept waiting. I really only waited about 30 minutes. I rode the back row, and my legs got pretty wet. Afterwards, we rode the Skyride to Oktoberfest and my dad got some pretty good pics of Griffon. (I think, I'm tired so I don't remember) We went around the carousel (didn't ride) and we all rode DarKastle, which had a 10 minute wait. We then had dinner at Festhaus and watched the show. I then wanted to do Big Bad Wolf, but, like every time I've been at BGE this season, was filling 1/4 of the switchback. I didn't bother asking how long the wait was, as they were barely moving. We then headed to Festa Italia. I wanted to ride AC, plus the wait was 20 minutes, but my parents needed to sit and rest so I decided to sit with them. My mom decided to ride Turkish Delight with me, so we did that. Then we took the train to Scotland and I rode Nessie, which was now a walk-on. When I was about to get on, the kid waiting in the row next to me jumped in my seat. I had the urge to get the operator to kick him and his mother and brother out, but didn't. I rode, got off, wanted to ride again, but my dad's back was really hurting, so we left. EDIT: Pictures should be up tomorrow.
odene497 Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 You should change the title until you get the pictures up. It's misleading.
HogarthOK Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 If people are line jumping, I say PLEASE report them. Enforcement is the only way we policy-abiding decent people will have a good time. Confronting them yourself is unwise -- but the ride ops are there not only to ensure everyone's safety, but to ensure your *enjoyment*.
Eric_Smith Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Glad to here you had fun.How was you Griffon experience
All Clear Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 ^ Geez. I rode it for about my 40th time last Saturday and I still can't say "meh." It's a sweet ride.
Kingbooba Posted July 28, 2007 Author Posted July 28, 2007 Oh, I didn't mean it that way, it's my favorite coaster! I just didn't get as much airtime and it wasn't as intense.
