Photo Trip Report: Vigo County Fair

Pretty much standards, tilt a whirl, scrambler, ring of fire.

 

I rode the drop tower two times without incident (sorry, that wasn't funny)

 

Rode this thing called the ION, no not the car, reminded me of a scrambler on crack. Rode the himmalayne (SP?), it was fun for a ride that goes in circles. The scrambler has quite possibly the longest cycle ever. I usually can stand them, but halfway through, I was ready to get off.

 

After leaving, I decided to go over to HH Gregg and see what cameras they had. Ended up leaving with a JVC Everio 30 gig hd camera.

Sati Babi's, Best fair food I have ever eaten, MEat on a stick. But the sauce they marinate in is copyrighted by the people that run the stand.

I only have seen these at theme parks. What is the point of them?

It is powered, I didn't ride, sorry James. Interesting note, this thing went past the station every time and the ride op had to push it back.

My county fair stunk when I last went there. I remember no rides. Our state fair was better. They had a spinning wild mouse, a fast slide that gave me a bad rash, and a Zipper. Well, that's all I remember, but I know there was more rides. Anyway, Cyclops and the drop tower looked cool.

Awww, I've never seen a caterpillar themed "Go Gator".

 

The Cyclops ride is a KMG Afterburner, one of my favorite flat rides, a lot of fun!

 

The game you questioned is a "Jacob's Ladder", you pay the cost of admission and if you can make it to the top of the unstable ladder you win a big prize, it's extremely difficult to accomplish...
