ntweisen
Hey, i was just wondering how long it typically takes to do Beech Bend park in Bowling Green Kentucky? My trip idea now is to hit up Holiday World, Beech Bend and looking into a few other nonamusement park activities that my girlfriend will be into like Mammoth cave and Kentucky Horse park. We plan on leaving Ohio on a Friday morning and being back either sunday night or monday afternoon. Is it possible to do all this in that amount of time? Also, what order would you suggest visiting the places I listed? Thanks for any and all help or advice.
spaceace12
WEll, you can do Holiday World in one or two days depending on the crowds when you go. IF the it is less crowded, but modereatly busy, you could possible do hw in 1 1/2 days drive to bg and do beach bend, then have the next day or two for your other activities. BB is easily a 2 to 3 hour park from when I heard. Basically, Kentucky Rumbler and then the two other coasters if you want credits. Also, in bowling green, Kentucky is the Corvette Musuem and factory!
Carnage
If you don't do the water park then 2 days is WAY too long at HW. You could probably do HW and BB in the same day.
USRoadTripper
I'd say that three hours should give you quite a few rides on Kentucky Rumbler as well as your fill of the other coasters and flat rides. Tack on another hour or so if you want to use their pool and water slides. Mammoth Cave is great...I visited it a few years ago and found it to really be amazing. I did the Frozen Niagara tour, so that tour comes highly recommended! We also spent the night in the Wigwam Village. The wigwams are TINY but extremely unique, and very reasonably priced. I thought it was a great place to stay, though they are too small for more than two people. www.wigwamvillage.com/ -Julie
MisterP
I rode KR 5 times as well the other coasters in a little over an hour on a Thursday afternoon in July last year.
