coasterdude5
Update Year 9 Taiga Strait entrance Here's the new indoor restaurant. The train trestle from the bridge. Work has already begun on the Year 10 project. Any guesses? More of Taiga Strait. It's great to walk through here before the park opens each morning. I was surprised you could see Ice Age's lift hill from here. I like the turnaround element over the entrance to the ride. It really picks up speed at this point. More soon. coasterdude5
^ You'll see it operating in the next update.
asr
I see you haven't giving us a chance to guess the next ride like you did over at the Atari forums. Anyway, the new ride is an Intamin Hypercoaster named Cougar, with a height or drop length of approximatly 230 feet.
coasterdude5
^ I haven't given my own site that chance either, this was something for Atari since I get more feedback from them then I do anywhere else. I hope you're right, that sounds awesome.
coasterdude5
Update Year 9 Windigo reopened late today! The crowd cheered as the coaster completed its first successful run in over a year. While even the park won't tell me what was wrong, many of the "insiders" say it had to do with some foundation issues. But I do know that it wasn't a "rehab". I heard Daschen will be ready for a rehab within the next couple of years. Park overview Timbermine, all back here in the back by itself... At least it still draws a decent crowd in... Time to head home, folks. Rogcau, err... the Year 10 ride should be announced any day now.
asr
Wow, the park has doubled in size since opening. Also, I see that your made up word "Rogcau" has all the same letters as "Cougar". Getting some inspiration from the Hersheypark 08 hype and Nantimi perhaps?
coasterdude5
^ Maybe... but remember I prepare these updates well in advance. I've been finished with this park for quite some time now. Transmission:

asr
The text definatly says "Cougar". The track appears to be some sort of inversion, one side of it appears to have Arrow track, and the other side appears to have Premier track.
coasterdude5
Update Year 10 Announcement COUGARTAIGA PARK - Take a ride on one of Canada's wildest scream machines only at Taiga Park. Cougar lures in riders as they maneuver through the line in front of a famous Canadian mansion undergoing rennovations... but something lurks from within. Only you will be able to set the Cougar loose and bear its fury. The steel rollercoaster will feature drops of over 20 stories and will incorporate the surrounding land into the design. Riders will encounter 3 overbanked turns and one tunnel. The ride is being constructed by Intamin of Switzerland. The ride will be the first of its kind in the country. Also new this year is Swing Thing, a chairswings ride that the whole family can enjoy. The park opens for its tenth season soon. The park hasn't released much concept art... I think they want the layout to be a surprise. More soon. Here are the park's additions over the years: Year 1 - Park opens Year 2 - Year 3 - Icee Carousel and Wolverine Bobsleds Year 4 - Trailmakers show Year 5 - Experiences - Animal Encounters Year 6 - Daschen Year 7 - Ice Age: The Ride and Ice Age: On Ice Year 8 - Aurora Lights Year 9 - Taiga Strait ft. coasterdude5
Update Year 10 [THE DOWNLOAD WILL BE POSTED ON FRIDAY - 9/28/07] Swing Thing is almost up. Cougar towers over everything. Suprisingly though, you can only get a good shot of it in the Taiga Strait area. The queue takes place in front of the mansion they're "renovating". The station is pretty unique. The park has a new evacuation device, eliminating the need for catwalks. SCREAM... More soon. coasterdude5
Update Year 10 First riders of the morning... They have a ways to go... Daschen is still over there. Ice Age: The Ride is also still going strong. (I'm now required by the management to add in "The Ride"...) It's good to see this awesome ride back open. Loopage is awesome, don't you agree? Two-in-one shot. Taiga Park - The World's Best Slanted Midway! Looks like a postcard... This part of the park is always pretty crowded. From above, you can see Cougar from almost anywhere. But from the ground... not so much - you can get a glimpse of it from the carousel's queue. More soon. THE DOWNLOAD WILL BE POSTED TOMORROW. Don't forget to check out The Stranahan Fairgrounds!
