My first park, Great America, is owned by a new theme park chain called Greatest Countrys. Great America is scheduled to open in 1977.

*Pictures up soon.

Built rides:

County Fair - themed area:

Rides

Corkscrew- An Arrow corkscrew coaster. Three inversions.

Pirate- A Mulligan swinging Pirate Ship.

Carousel- A Bertazzon Carousel.

Orleans Plaza - themed area/entrance plaza:

Rides

Log Flume- An Arrow log flume.

Thrill Zone - area:

Rides

White Lightnin'- A Schwarzkopf Shuttle loop coaster. One inversion.

KidZville - area:

I'm still working on other rides though. This is my first time with a park, so my building and stations won't be very good. I need to find a photo site so I can get the pictures up. They have to j.peg, right?[/i]

The trees will be later. There's still a lot to do before "opening day". By the way, thanks for the tip. I'm pleased with Corkscrew's station. More comments/critiscm/tips appreciated.

Well, trees have been planted and construction on a small western-themed area has begun. Oh, and a small coaster called Runaway Mine Train is being built as we speak.

Crap, the park JUST opened! It was packed!I went for a spin on Runaway Mine Train, and everything was packed!

Anyway, here's an overview:

I forgot to mention some rides like the Hopper, Turnover, Loop-O-Plane, and Western Wheel. Also, no signs of anything new for 1978.

More later.

Woah, coaster track!

Probably a corkscrew coaster. Arrow again.

And clearing in Western World. Maybe it's going there...

More later.

A skyride would be cool. Most parks around this time added them with the sky bucket cars. A big park like that could need one.

NEW COASTER!

Dynamite is here! Dynamite flips riders 5 times. It is located in Western World. New for '78!

I really like the beginning, but you should remove the third vertical loop, three of them on a ride this size seems really out of place. And the theming isn't very good.

Also, you shouldn't have so much track touching the ground. You should raise the ride up a bit more.

I'll work on that. Thanks for the tips! EDIT: That's the best themeing I could do. I don't have mine themeing or western themeing in this park. Oh, and I think I'll just re-do the whole layout of Dynamite. The park is in the year "1978", so I can't make it too complex.

I know you can't but three loops just doesn't seem right for this coaster, and thetrack on the ground does not look good.

1979 news!

Dynamite has been re-tracked and is now open to the public! A new area themed to a castle has been added. It features two rides, The Time Machine, a spinning ride in which you stand up on, and an un-named roller coaster! Pictures will be up later.

Well let me say that is a great start for your first park! Great job! For a first park, it a really well planned-out!

Now for some tips and suggestions; try and make your buildings less blocky possibly by making them less symmetrical and not so rectangular. The roller coaster is nice in the last pic, but I think the flames are kind of random. I suggest making them have more of a pattern or just removing them and in place, add some foilage.

Other than that, you're doing GREAT!

Dynamite looks really unrealistic for its time. No coaster in the 70's featured a half loop. For the realism, you might want to make it a double looping coaster.

Update

1979 has come and gone, Dynamite has re-opened with ANOTHER new layout, and a new ride has been added for 1980. That new coaster has been named "The Beast". No pics yet, though.
