FeelTheFORCE Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 It's slightly short, but it was losing speed towards the end, so I had to end it or it would start to crawl through the course. Bumpy only in a couple places, but not all that much. Keep in mind that I am still learning. Please comment. Lift hill and first drop. A turn and lift hill shot. Train on one of the turns with lift hill and airtime hill in the background. Spartan.nltrack GCI Woodie...my 5th NL coaster.
christianscoasters Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 That last picture is very cool! Nice coaster too!
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Not a bad coaster, but I do have two things about the ride that irk me, the turn into the station does not conform to a consistant radius, and also, the top of you lift is a quite a bit tight, the tops of lifts are typically much more gradual in radius. (Go look at Hyyyper's Troy video to see what I'm talking about. ) Other than that this is a good 5th coaster.
FeelTheFORCE Posted June 20, 2007 Author Posted June 20, 2007 Yeah, that's my problem, none of my coasters so far have had good turns into the station. Is there a technique I can practice or something?
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 You just need to build the trun first, then connect it to the station, just make sure that when the turn has a consistant radius there will be a small gap between the end of the turn and the end of the station. Just look at the pictures.
FeelTheFORCE Posted June 20, 2007 Author Posted June 20, 2007 Yeah, it's not connecting it that's my problem, it's making the actual turn. How do I know it's even?
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Just build around a circular object, or use elementary... Anyway, here is a circular object I made in anm8or, there is also a straight one on there *free* just for trying our product! *standard shipping rates apply strtcircle.3ds_195.zip Goes in My Computer/C:/*your windows account*/program files/Nolimits coasters v1.6/objects
FeelTheFORCE Posted June 21, 2007 Author Posted June 21, 2007 ^ Thanks, I tried going around the circle, and it was a lot easier and smoother. I'll keep that for future coasters. Any more comments before I get started on my next NL project?
AlmereStars Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 is it just me or does every NL coaster that has been made the last couple of weeks look like Troy? especially the beginning the coaster was nice and smooth good job for just being your 5th coaster (5th coaster you finished, or 5th coaster you ever started?)
FeelTheFORCE Posted June 21, 2007 Author Posted June 21, 2007 ^ 5th "real", finished, and supported coaster. I mean, I've tried some practice coasters in the beginning, but they were nothing resembling an actual coaster, usually just a lift hill and the first drop, just getting a feel for NL. Yeah I decided to go with the GCI feel, to tell you the truth, I was planning a Renegade-inspired first drop, but that didn't go over too well.
