RRollergod Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Some of you are familiar with the famous Coaster Dynamix system. Known for their Scorpion. Well I am a proud owner of one and after three months of my scorpion sitting around I decided to make this. Atlas is a cheap yet fun layout to make and watch. Usually people really kit-bash these and make RC launches but me being impatient and low on money made a rubber band launch! Pics follow and also there is a video. While I have the layout and track done, I am creating a generic station that I can use for many models. So here are the pics! And now a video! http://s11.photobucket.com/albums/a176/RRollergod/Atlas/?action=view¤t=DSCN2466.flv *~RRollergod~*
christianscoasters Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 It sorta reminds me of RAGE at Adventure Island.
RRollergod Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007 Update: 6/2 Really in todays update is just a quick little addition to the station. There is also two more videos! So on to the pictures of Atlas! Here is the startion with a new roof. Now for the new video! http://s11.photobucket.com/albums/a176/RRollergod/Atlas/?action=view¤t=DSCN2486.flv To end this update I leave you with Atlas vs. Yeti Ball! And another vid... http://s11.photobucket.com/albums/a176/RRollergod/Atlas/?action=view¤t=DSCN2489.flv *~RRollergod~*
asr Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Looks great, reminds me of Kanonen and Rita, and the inline twist looks crazy. But, could you make a slow motion video? These things always go way to fast to comprehend what is happening.
RRollergod Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 The problem is that I make these vids on a digital camera and they go onto my pc as .mov files. And I cannot edit them.
DATman Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 ^If you have windows, you have windows movie maker. Import it into there, and you can edit it.
Goliath513 Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Since when do B&M inverts launch? Neat coaster BTW. Is this some kind of flexy-track that you use to make it?
RRollergod Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 Windows movie maker does not support .mov files. Also this was made with coaster dynamix which does not produce sit-down trains yet. Once they do I will make Atlas into one.
