Masked_Maverick Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I got bored one evening so I took a camera and went for a walk. Here are some of the "sights". I leave you with a shot of Bench: The Ride new for 2007. Ceasers Pizza. IMO the best Pizza in the Mentor/Kirtland area. Don't let the building fool you either the food is awesome. Monday's Coffee shop. Pretty good Java. Not badly priced either. Showing a bit of Leg. Sexy I know. Book Ale? No I don't. Should I? Second bar within a half mile of each other. Not much to do around here. The other one is called Jake's Place and it is right next to Curves. Derek this one is for you. Kirtland isn't totally small we do have a Subway. Kirtlander Party Center Our Post Office/Liquor Agency. No, I am not kidding. This is where I get work done on my Car. The mechanic is flat out awesome and works wonders with Cars. The High School track where I usually walk. It is nicely kept and pretty enjoyable to walk on. Our yearly "Ghetto Fair" coming this week. There will be a Photo TR. First I decided to go walking on the track at the Highs chool Here is a lonly hurdle wondering where its family was.
resonancej Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Ah...I miss sleepy little towns. I lived in one for awhile (Blacksburg, VA) and miss it the more I'm down here (Orlando--theme park headquarters). I don't plan on being here forever, thinking about Nashville next...
IceDragon Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Kinda reminds me of where I live... Except you got restaurants. All we have is a pub and chip shop... Yay for the countryside!
bulldogmom Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Looks like a nice little town. "Just One More" is the perfect name for a bar!
Masked_Maverick Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 Yeah funny thing is there is a Dairy Mart right next to it so whenever I go in for something at 10 there is usually some drunk spouting mumbo-jumbo. Kinda scary and yet kind of amusing. It is a pretty peaceful town though.
pete4winds Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 A Subway and a Curves in the same place...dinner and a show?
the sound Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 First I decided to go walking on the track at the Highs chool Here is a lonly hurdle wondering where its family was. Aww, poor little Kirtland.
Masked_Maverick Posted June 14, 2007 Author Posted June 14, 2007 ^ Good news poor little Kirtland was eventually reunited with it's family.
USRoadTripper Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Ah...I miss sleepy little towns. Well then, we should trade apartments. Nashville blows. You're welcome to it. -Julie
Nick-Mac Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Haha don't let the pics fool you, they're right on the edge of the massive suburban shopping hell of the eastside aka Mentor. I drive by that Marathon all the time on the way to work at Great Lakes mall. Cleveland is crazy, you go from complete ghetto, to suburbs and places like kirtland, to redneck country, to amish country, all in like a 30 mile radius. anyway, I thought that was cool that I saw Kirtland on here. I live near there and go to lakeland haha
Masked_Maverick Posted June 15, 2007 Author Posted June 15, 2007 ^ No kidding I go to Lakeland too. I do agree about the shopping in Mentor that is one of the worst malls I have ever been too although I'm obsessed with Best Buy.
the sound Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 ^ Good news poor little Kirtland was eventually reunited with it's family. Hooray!
Masked_Maverick Posted June 15, 2007 Author Posted June 15, 2007 The Kirtland ordeal has a happy ending.
