GMAN962 Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Yes...you heard me. Street wars. A city-wide battle. A challenge of nerves, wits, and...WATER! What do you mean, water? Read this: StreetWars is a 3 week long, 24/7, watergun assassination tournament that has already taken place in New York City, Vancouver, Vienna, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, and is now coming to Paris in September 2007. At the start of the game you will receive a manila envelope containing the following: * A picture of your intended target(s) * The home address of your intended target(s) * The work address of your intended target(s) * The name of your intended target(s) * Contact information of your intended target(s) Upon receipt of these items, your (or your team's) mission is to find and kill (by way of water gun, water balloon or super soaker) your target(s). You can hunt your target down any way you see fit; you can pose as a delivery person and jack them when they open the door, disguise yourself and take them out on the street, etc. If you are successful in your assassination attempt, the person you killed will give you their envelope and the person they were supposed to kill becomes your new target. This continues until you work yourself through all the players and retrieve the envelope with your (or your team's) picture(s) and name(s). Then you win. Cash…but first live in fear. Original site: http://streetwars.net Basically, it's a city-wide water gun battle. The last dry person standing wins the game. Here's a quote from the Myspace bulletin that I got this from: Each year they accept hundreds of assassins to fight each other in secret, sneaking and sniping street battles. The assassins are given the profile of a target individual and are allowed to do whatever it takes to pick the target off. There are only a few rules. No hits on public transportation No hits at the workplace (school is fine) Restaurants and homes are fair game The guns can use real ammo...albeit the assassins are only allowed to use water guns. This game seems very interesting, and even fun. I'll probably have to try it, when I'm 18. (Must be 18 to play) There are also some news reports/videos released from the site that show how you play, how one wins, etc. I doubt anybody here has actually played it, but it seems really interesting. They've been doing it from two years now. If you have played it, you should tell us how it is! It seems intense. If anybody is going to play, they should post TR's of their "hits"! It'd be really interesting. -Mike
IceDragon Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 hmmmm... I'll have to wait until next year, but it looks fairly interesting and they seem to have sorted everything... No harm giving it a go!
Homer Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Dude, that sounds AWESOME. Too bad it won't be in Florida any time soon.
Homer Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 ^Do it in the middle of lunch rush, that would be AWESOME!
Disney Dood Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 My cousin's high school does this in their senior year, he is always rigged with like 5 water guns at all times. It's so funny. In the end, you get $100.
GMAN962 Posted May 19, 2007 Author Posted May 19, 2007 ^My friend is actually starting to kinda organize a club for it, and they're going to do some competitions of their own.
californiascreamer1 Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 That sounds so Awesome! I cant wait to be able to do that! Soes this apply throughout the city, because what if its an inapropriate time to get in a fight. Say in a hotel, a resteraunt, work or possibly getting in trouble with the police?
GMAN962 Posted May 19, 2007 Author Posted May 19, 2007 ^People have gotten physically restrained by the police, actually. Well...as for the others, it doesn't count for public transportation, resuraunts, etc. so I think you're safe there.
IceDragon Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Just remember: a city doesn't have trees!!! Camo gear won't work!!!
GMAN962 Posted May 20, 2007 Author Posted May 20, 2007 ^Night hits! ...and bushes, trees, roofs, etc. -Mike
