So, today being Mother's Day, my wife decided she wanted us to go fishing. Her parents had been camped at Rock Creek near Mt. Hood for the last few days so we made the two hour drive and met up with them for our first fishing trip of the year.

After a fun day of fishing we stopped by Timberline Lodge to get some dinner and look around.

So, enough talk, onto the pictures.

We had a great day. Thanks for reading!

The whole inside of the lodge has these massive log beams.

The inside they did not use in the movie however. Lots of wood and stone.

Still a lot of snow up here but the ski lifts have closed for the season.

Timberline Lodge. If this building looks familiar it may be because this is the lodge where Jack Nicolson takes his family in "The Shining".

Wait, what? Your wife wanted to go fishing? Was there a shopping center near the lake?

I've never heard of a woman wanting to go fishing before!

Nice pictures! Looks like your family had a nice time there, I like Mt. Hood, though it has been a while since I have been there.

Wife here: I grew up camping-fishing, hunting, snow and water skiing, ect..- and ever since Justin became a Coaster Geek we haven't spent alot of time doing any of it. I miss it alot. I even enjoyed digging for the worms and breaking them in half. I could have done without the rowing though.(I did a very bad job of it).

^ Sandi, the resemblance between you and your mother is amazing!

Glad you guys all had fun! I can't believe I opened this thread even with the "fish heads and guts" warning, blach. That's one of a few things I'm girly about, there's no way I want to be near any of that stuff. Fishing itself I enjoy though! And the views of the water and mountain are just beautiful.

I think I almost wet myself when I saw that building!

Wow...thank's for the PTR.

I try and get up to Oregon every year, and Justin and Sandi--this PTR was like a brochure for the place! LOL. Nice to see you guys taking advantage of the natural beauty.
