Dollywood sent me a survey about my lodging preferences

Recommended Posts

I got a survey from Dollywood a few days ago. It asked me about my lodging preferences and what activities I liked to do on my vacation. Will there be an onsite Dollywood hotel built in the future? If so, my guess it will be a 3 to 4 star hotel and rooms will be at least $200. I don't think you can find a hotel for less than $50 in the Pigeon Forge area.

For my time, I got a free complimentary one-day Dollywood ticket! Woo-hoo! I'm supposed to get it in the mail in 2 weeks.

Yes back in 2005 as part of there 20th anniversary Dolly said that in the next twenty years one of her plans included a Dollywood hotel so it looks like we can expect a Dollywood resort/hotel in the near future since they do have a survey out. And this is the first time I have ever heard of them giving out a free one day ticket for a survey so it seems to be more serious (probably since it will be a huge investment money wise.)

And yes I think you can get some places in the Smoky Mountain area for about $45-$50 but they aren't anything that look spectacular by no means.

It would be great if they opened their own hotels, cabins and such.

Imagine the restaurants they could have for them?

Rates in Pigeon forge when went weren't bad. We rented a cabin for 7days and that came to about 350.00. It was nice, clean had central air.

Room rate then were like: 22.00 a nite at a major hotel.

Normally most hotels on the parkway during the peak season is anywhere from $50-$150 a night. Although Dollywood could easily get by with $100 during the non peak season and $125-$200 during the peak season months. Because they would alredy have the money because of the property they already own. Plus they have plenty of land still left that they already own so if they do use that land the most they would have to pay for is the actual hotel. And all the money the save with already having land they could put into the hotel to make it awesome. Plus since everyone is going to know it's built by a Dollywood Company people will trust it more than they might other hotels that they don't know as much about they could get by with those rates if the make it a nice one.

We paid $36 including tax for our room there last month...some places were in the $19.99 range! Weekends are definitely more though.

I got to dig up your Dollywood TR and find the hotel that you stayed. All I need is a bed and shower really. But a hotel for $20? It better not be a Roach Motel!
