DATman Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Buzz Lightyear Search and Rescue is my latest and greatest No Limits Project. The evil Zurg has suddenly taken over the Toy Barn and its surrounding landscape. All of the toys have become captives, slaves forced to do his bidding. Buzz has already tried to defeat him, but with his newest weapon, he is too powerful. So we have been asked to become cadets to save the toys and help Buzz defeat Zurg. To do this, we get inside our Star Command Rescue Vehicles and shrink down to toy size. The SCRVs have a range of 360 degrees in order to best view the scene. In them, we can also fire at Zurg's machine in order to destroy it. Prepare for the ride of your life! It isn't ready yet, I just couldn't wait any longer to show you guys what I've been working on for a while. As of now, the cars and trackwork are done. I am currently working on the 3Ds and will then move to supports last. Here are a couple teaser shots: Star Command Rescue Vehicle (Ignore the tunnels, as I got rid of them after a mild change in theme) SCRV - Side View First drop and one of the many 3Ds that will be going into this ride. Comments and criticisms are always welcome, as they can only help me improve!
Goliath513 Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Those floating stars don't look so good with nothing holding them up.
riccoaster Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Those floating stars don't look so good with nothing holding them up. I think he is going to inclose it.
DATman Posted May 13, 2007 Author Posted May 13, 2007 All of the stars are linked, and they can hold each other up realistically. EDIT: The ride's sign has been finished. The 3Ds are taking time to make, so there aren't that many right now.
DATman Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 UPDATE! (Sorry for the double post) The 3D's for the lifthill are complete. It's meant to look like one of those slammers, but it launches a rocket rather than a car. This is the entire lift: The slammer: The rocket and the rest of the lift:
Steffen_Dk Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Wow. Great theming. Can't wait to see the final result.
IwantRevenge Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 the lift themeing is cool but it's kinda pointless if your facing back since you really won't see it.
DATman Posted May 15, 2007 Author Posted May 15, 2007 Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback. ^^That's a good point. I'll add some 3Ds facing the other direction to make the lift neat for both sides.
