Axman Posted April 30, 2007 Author Posted April 30, 2007 Wow... We ARE geeks, aren't we? To be honest, I've only ridden one Vekoma that was unbearable. I've ridden 2 SLCs, 2 Invertigos, 1 Giant Invertigo, 2 Boomerangs, 1 Jr. SLC, and several smaller coasters, but the only one that was down-right sh1ty, was Ninja at SFOG. There is just no f%@#ing excuse for such a ride. Kong at Marine World is a distant second, but everything else i've listed was actually quite enjoyable. Especially Deja Vu. Sorry about the commas. I'm an aspiring english major, so almost everything I write now, is delicately intricate, and meticulacly positioned. I'll make my future posts easier to read.
Crazy4Coasters! Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 ^ It's nice to know that ur not a hothead and didn't take my comments into offense... Kudos to you my friend! LOL!!!
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Instead of padding the restraints, they need to put on new, tighter wheels. If you notice on coasters, it's the wheels that cause bumps. They aren't riding on the track. They're just a couple of inches off. Actually it isn't the wheels it's the design of the track and trains, first of all track with the rails on the inside warps much more easily than track with rails on the outside, and vekoma's trains are very light, allowing them to bash around the track more easily, thus warping the track, that is why a vekoma or arrow ride is Smoother on its opening day than a ride on it's 10th anniversary.
Warlord694 Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 My 8 year old daughter comments as we exited T2 last year, "Dad, I think my brain is bleeding out of my ear." I almost fell down laughing at that one. Once was enough on that one for us.
Axman Posted May 1, 2007 Author Posted May 1, 2007 This may not have even been a taste of pain to begin with, though. I get to ride my very first Pinfari LOOPING death machine this Sunday!!!!OMFG!!!! My first Pinfari was one of those "This looks absolutely NOTHING like Schwartzkopf Wildcat" coasters. It had lap bars, so it wasn't painful. The scary thing was that the bars couldn't lock until after you leave the station! If you weren't lucky, your ride could have been like this: , only, without returning to your seat.
