Disney Dood Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 I've never been to WDW in the winter and I'm probably going there during Christmas vacation. Is it warm but cold enough to skip the water rides? And during Christmas is it VERY crowded?
SharkTums Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 During Christmas it's not VERY crowded, it's EXTREMELY crowded. As for the weather, it can be very crazy. I've been there at xmas time when it's sunny and 80 degrees, and I've been there at xmas time when it's 50 and pouring for days.
Erik Johnson Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 For crowds, Christmas vacation is probably the worst time to go. If you do go, make sure you are at the parks before opening and run to the most popular ride in the park. Make sure you also use the Fast Pass machines.
Disney Dood Posted April 18, 2007 Author Posted April 18, 2007 Alright, thanks for the tips. Thank god everybody in my family can run!
YoshiFan Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I was there during Christmas week this past December and it's crazy how crowded it can get. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom filled to capacity almost every day that week and MGM was even filled to capacity one day. The problem with that is that everyone goes to the open park(s), which is usually Epcot and that fills up (210 minute wait for Soarin). With fastpass and if you get to the park early when the waits aren't that bad it's possible to get a lot of rides in but you have to have a plan of what you want to do ahead of time and not just randomly go from ride to ride.
