ECZenith
The city of Arcadia, Rhode Island has had its ups and downs as far as development of a new theme park goes... Local environmentalists have ceased the construction of the "Arcadia Chasm" theme park which was well underway due to the discovery of a family of extremely rare and endangered grey stink weasels, which were found nesting close to the construction site of "The Vision" roller coaster. The site was immediately zoned and made into a wildlife reserve so the precious weasels can carry on and multiply. Now that the bad news is over with, on to the good... To make up for this disaster, the Arcadia planning comission has designated a larger, coastal area just 5 miles from the chasm for development into a major theme park! This will allow chief engineer Sean Costa to incorporate all previous ideas and mostly new ones into his most extensive theme park project to date. Little is known about what's in the works, but it will be sure to excite this quiet town. This currently abandoned beach will be teeming with thrill seekers this summer as construction crews rush to complete Arcadia Point. Work continues on through the night to reach the August deadline! Stay tuned for more updates. Testing the misters in the tunnel... Oh looks like we'll know more about this thing next month. Lift hill is about halfway complete... A look at the ride's station as it nears completion. Track has been staged over the midway section as well. Looks like we caught work crews laying track! Electri City is still a mess... looks like some more containers have arrived on the worksite, perhaps trains for what we will call "Project Z" for now. The first of the themed areas is well underway... Electri City will feature the park's finest roller coaster, a top secret project from Swiss consultants Bolliger & Mabillard. This zone will be themed to a city cursed by an electrical phenomenon. A tram running in test mode through the entry plaza from parking garage A. Arcadia Point Transit purple line will bring guests from the parking structures to the entry gate and the hotels and casinos that will come up on the beach during phase 2. The Entry Plaza tram terminal is nearly complete. The newly finished ticket sales/admissions plaza is looking pretty good! Hey, what's that in the distance? We'll get to that later... The cold, spring New England air will soon be gone as summer draws closer to Arcadia Beach and the rapidly growing Arcadia Point theme park. the sound
Looks great. The entrance laza reminds me somehow of the Hagia Sofia in Istanbul. You know, that mosque thing. Also, are you continuing with the Universal park? Because that was really something.
ECZenith
I have cancelled (deleted) the Universal Park as well as all 5 of my other projects. I realized how bad my buildings actually looked and after a lot of practice I'm ready to redo all my old concepts so they actually turn out decent! Once this project is done, perhaps I'll try again with the Universal theme park. Until then, expect lots of cool stuff and new concepts with Arcadia Point! texashorns82492
Looks amazing as usual. But where did you get the cranes?
ECZenith
Cranes are included with a scenery pack which includes other worksite related stuff. It has some French name, I believe it can be located in the custom scenery thread in this very forum. Enjoy!
texashorns82492
You don't know the name? I've looked at the scenery thread and I found nothing.

the sound
I'm liking the teal colour. It really suits roller-coasters for some reason!
ECZenith
From the first post : "incorporate all previous ideas and mostly new ones into his most extensive theme park project to date" The only thing similar about this coaster to "The Tempest" is the parallel Zero-G roll/Camelback and Giant Batwing elements, the rest of the ride is completely original. Also, this coaster is much larger in size. When I deleted Arcadia Chasm I didn't want to lose this concept for a coaster, I love how the camelback/zero g roll crosses over the park entrance. As you can see, that was just one of the ideas implemented from a previous park without completely cloing the ride. As you can see in this screen, the rides are very much different... ECZenith
Updates for 4/10/07 * "Project Z" completed, currently testing * Parking structure 20% compeleted, Tram stop finished * Several shops added to entry plaza "Project Z" has one twisted finale. Another update will be dropped as soon as the parking structure and shops/hotel have been completed. Thank you for checking it out! After a mist-filled tunnel, surprised riders will find themselves back into the sunlight and upside down through a flatspin. The curve into midcourse brakes drifts over the entry gate to the "Electri City" area of the theme park. An interesting view of the entry plaza. The giant wingover with the new parking structure taking shape in the background. The first drop dives into an underground tunnel before riders are faced with a diving loop. A "Project Z" floorless train begins its descent... A POV shot, the final details have been added to the station as seen on the right. "Project Z" has been completed, all but the name and theming that is... here you can see a train testing. Several shops have sprung up between the parking structure and entrance to theme park, in the same fashion as Downtown Disney or Universal Citywalk. More shops and restaurants are on the way. The tram station is currently in service on Level 2 of the parking structure. A look inside the parking structure, not much to see just yet. AP's Parking Structure has begun construction, the structure will include 5 to 6 levels of parking. thrillrideseeker
OMG! This is so my favorite park! It has and Abercrombie store! OMG why can real parks not have Abercrombie stores? I love Abercrombie! Great Job! You know it could use a Dolce and Gabbana store to! Nothing is as awsome as Dolce and Gabbana! Great work! Keep it up ~Matthew
ECZenith
4/12/07 I was going to wait until the shopping district and hotels were built, but there's a couple new things worth seeing... *The Rainforest Cafe & Fire & Ice restaurants completed *5 level Parking structure completed (with hundreds of cars!) *In park construction? Oh snap... what is this? Finally some in-park construction. If the rumors are true, this will be the site of a large water ride. Take a look at the recently completed parking structure... very tedious work to get all the details right here. Two new restaurants have opened in the shopping district, The Rainforest Cafe and Fire & Ice: An Improvisational Grill.
